So my little boy has been potty trained for over a year now...he still wets overnight, though so we have to use pull ups...I would rather not be buying (and throwing away) so many of those things...we use cloth diapers for my daughter but I ordered some "stuffable" trainers for my son and his poor legs were just too big! He's got huge legs (but the rest of him is very slim!)...my question is does anyone know of any trainers that are VERY stretchy in the leg and that are VERY absorbent (despite restricting liquids at night he still wets alot sometimes)...any info would be a huge help! thanks!!

What can I do next?

Do you have a sewing machine? If you do you could custom make them with his measurements. Here is a free pattern site for trainers. Keep in mind if you use someone else's pattern, it is for your own personal use at home and you cannot sell for profit. That is stealing.

There are a lot of patterns out there, there are also a lot of stay at home moms that make diapers as their business. If you don't have a machine or know where to get the proper fabrics, perhaps you could buy some already made by one of these mothers. Check out the starbunz, they look like big boy undies.

Hi K.,

Have your tried the pocket trainers made by Happy Heinys? You can look at them at www.happyheinys.com. I think they are cut pretty generously at the legs, but every baby is different! Good luck in your search for the perfect trainers for your baby!

Warmly,
J.

Bummis trainers are pretty absorbent. They get more absorbent over time.

I recently tried Minkee Blueberry trainers and REALLY like them.

A Bummis trainer with a fleece pants are good--love these by a wahm (http://hyenacart.com/justaddsugar/)
