Can anyone recommend a good training pant for potty training a boy? Does anyone have experience with Potty Scotty or Kushies? Also, WHERE did you purchase your training pants and what part of the store were they in? Thx!

We've used Gerber and JC Penney. You can buy the Gerber ones at Target and Wal-Mart usually near the toddler underwear and layette stuff. I've found the JC Penny kind to be slightly more absorbent and less binding on my son's legs. They're by the baby undershirts/onesies etc. I wash them in with regular clothes but dry them without fabric softener to keep them more absorbent. If you run a little vinegar in the final rinse cycle it keeps them from getting too stiff.

I am in the midst of potty training my little girl. We have been using the Gerber brand with the vinal(sp?) covering. They have worked just fine. In fact, they keep her pants (and my carpet) dry! Just remember when you dry the underwear to use the low cyle. My husband melted a pair.

I used Gerber and bought them at Walmart in the baby section where they sell diapers and formula.

I used the Gerber brand you can buy at Babies 'R Us. They worked fine. You can get them with and without vinyl covers. They worked for us.

Oh, they were at the front of the store with the cloth diapers. Our section is between the baby care/bath products and the feeding products.

I bought all the mentioned. The Potty Scotty ones are okay, but they are really puffy. The Kushies ones have a plasticky outer layer which I hate and again are pretty puffy, but not as bad. Honestly if you are wanting to PT I would either buy the Gerber ones or the brand at JC Penney's is good too. Another one I liked is Bright Bots (online only). It's the same as Gerber in design but has a plastic inside layer. Imo it's not really worth the extra price though if you really watch your child, you will see them get wet in the Gerber/JCP ones and it won't be a big deal if you catch it right away. HTH!

I really think the best are fuzzi bunz. You would do best to order them online. They can be pulled up or down, but they also have snaps on the sides. This is great if the child has a bm, because you don't have to pull them down and smear stuff all over legs, etc. They also work well as swim diapers.

There is a store in Flower Mound that might have them. The link to that is:

I've used the Gerber brand that you can find at Babies R us or Target or Walmart. For nighttime protection I like Mother of Eden trickle trainers. Those I had to buy online. I think I got them on ebay, but I can't remember for sure.
