Hi moms!! I'm looking for toys made in the USA geared for my kids, 9 month old twins and a six year old. I live in the St. Louis metro area and would love to be able to drive somewhere to pick stuff out, but if I had to shop online I would be okay with that too. I'm tired of buying toys that are made in China and constantly having to worry about recalls or being concerned with the quality! Please help, we have birthdays coming up soon, and I need ideas!! Have you checked out City Sprouts in the Loop of U-City? It's awesome!! Many of their toys are made in Europe and the US. Plus (if you can afford it), they have tons of cool clothes by Tea, Small Paul, Dwell Baby and many more including local artists. Their store is located next to The Tivoli theater. I was just in there the other day and they were having a sale too. You might want to see what they have.
I know you are frustrated with the toy problem. I recomend DISCOVERY TOYS. Yes they are often made out of the USA. The company has been around or 30 years and has only had 1 recall. This recall was from the company not the us government.
Discovery Toys is a company started and run by Moms. The safty testing is the best in the toy industry.

I suggest checking out Discovery Toys. Although all of their toys are not made in the USA, they are much more strict about testing than most companies. They also have a lifetime replacement guarantee. We love their toys and quite a few of them have won awards.
