Too Young for Hot Flashes?

I'm wondering if any other moms started having hot flashes/night sweats in their 40's? I'm 41 and have been having this issue for a few weeks. My ob/gyn thinks I'm too young for perimenopause, but I'm not convinced. I just stopped nursing 2 months ago and my menstrual cycle is just now returning to normal.
Any ideas/experiences? Thanks! D.

I can email it over. ____@____.com is my email. It is all based on Dr Lee's teachings on what your dr doesn't know or teach us! IT IS SOOO GOOD! Go to www.womentowomen.com and fill out their questionaire. It will tell you if you are in menopause and what stage you are in. I am 33 and already perimenopausal. I did'nt have hot flashes, but had a lot of other symptons that my doctor blamed on the birth of my son. Two years later I still had those systems and more. I started taking Estroven and it has helped a ton.

Hi D.,
My friend started perimenopause at 37. It can happen but it's rare. Good luck.

Dianh,
I recently turned 40 but began having hot flashes & night sweats when I was about 35. My doc told me that it really isn't unusual to begin experiencing this at a young age.
