Toilet Training Advice

How is she ready. from what I have learn she must wake up dry for sleeping all night or she is not ready. Make it a game and carry at least a it toilet in you car you never know it you can find a place for her to go.

the later you wait, the easier it is.
Have her be naked (great during summer) and spend a weekend on it as part of a normal activity. Celebrate her suceesses.

My kids were a little older.. 24-30 months and we did not have any accidents once they were trained.

We also found that our kids responded better to using the real toilet with a little plastic seat added. I could take this with me in public places so it was what they were used to.

Be consistent. Panties only during the day. Pullups during sleep time and nap times. And the best thing we ever did was purchase a portable potty. WE keep it in the car everywhere we go. We have used it so much especially when when we're not so sure about cleanliness of public restroom. It also allows us to do errands and go on trips without being inconsistent. In the beginning, I also used a reward system, like stickers or stamps. Every time she went on the potty, we made a huge deal about it, like she won the championship or something. It worked! I think that your daughter is still very little and may not be completely ready?

When I started potty training my daughter (she was close to 3 years old) I gave her rewards such as stickers after each time she peed in the potty. She had more trouble pooping so I had more special presents such as (inexpensive) puzzles, books, toys .....I have noticed that almost everything works so well with rewards. She is always eager to get little presents so that is still my no 1 thing that I use in new situations that may be tricky.

I have potty trained two daughters but only when they were only 2 1/2. Don't beat yourself up if it doesn't work out. It might just be too early. Here are some tips that worked for me. The main thing is to be consistent

1. go straight to panties on the day you decide to start and get her excited about being a big girl and not needing diapers anymore.

2. only use diapers or pull ups for naps and at night not during the day. During day should be panties only.

3. don't let her walk around with a sippy cup. Give her the sippy cup when she needs it or asks for a drink. Then immediately sit her down on the potty.

4. sit her down on the potty every 1/2 with a potty training book.

5. praise her when she successfully uses the potty and reward her with a sticker.
