jj's kids cuts. They are a little pricey, but they definately entertain your child and they will take a picture o fthe first hair cut as well as save you a small lock of the hair cut.
My daugther is 15 months old and her bangs are quite long and getting into her eyes - I'm using a light mousse and barrettes (she just pulls them out!) and such to keep them to the side - and I'm thinking it's time for a hair-cut. Should I do it myself (yikes!) or do you have any suggestions of a place I can take her? When did you first do this with your child? I want something cute for her, and I'm afraid if I do it, it'll only be the bangs - and she may end up with a mullet. :)

I took my 12 month old to get her first haircut at Snip-its in Brier Creek. It was fast and they did a very decent job.
There is a place across from Southpoint mall that specializes in childrens haircuts. It is called Peek-a-do and it is beside the Melting Pot in Durham. They offer a 1st hair cut package. The number is ###-###-####. Hope this helps!
There is a chain called Snip-Its. It is a salon for children. I don't know their prices, but there is one located at Brier Creek.
Looks like I should have read the other advice given as mine is the same!
