Toddler Bed - Addison,IL

I really hate to ask this, but we are having some financial hardships and we really need to get our 1 yr old a bed. She has been sleeping with us for the past year, and we think she is ready to move into her own bed (she sleeps for long stretches on our couch). We switched our oldest to a toddler bed at this age, and she transitioned just fine. We put the toddler bed right next to ours, and eventually moved her to her own room. However, when we moved, our toddler bed didn't last the trip- got broke when it fell off truck (wasn't on as secure as my husband thought it was) SO, if there is anyone out there with a toddler bed and mattress (I have the bedding) that they need to get rid of and would be wiling to let it go for little or nothing, I would really appreciate it (I have checked craigslist, and I just can't afford what people are asking for a used bed).

What can I do next?

I have a toddler bed and mattress in my basement. My "baby" just turned 7, so its been there a few years. You are welcome to it for a small price. You would have to pick it up (We live in Brookfield). It is still put together and I'm not sure how to take it apart. Please call me ###-###-#### and let me know how much you can afford.

I have a todler bed at my parents house, southside of Chicago (Beverly). I would be willing to negotiate the price, $15.00, ok? I don't have matress. It's white hard plastic. The only issue it has are some crayon marks that I can remove with the Magic Eraser. Call me on my cell ###-###-####.

I have seen people ask for and offer toddler beds up on Freecycle. Go to http://www.freecycle.org to find your local group. Good luck!

If I had one, I would just give it to you but I don't and I am really sorry. I really hope that someone has one they could give them.

Most people are willing to bargain a bit on craigslist, did you try asking if they were flexible? I usually politely e-mail what I can afford and ask them to contact me if they would consider it.
