He needs to rest. I would let him sleep. His body needs down time and if he doesn't get it on this day off he may end up being too exhausted to do anything.

When I work 70 and 80 hour weeks, I HATE IT when my wife makes me go somewhere. I'm tired, grouchy...and that's just a perfect concoction for a 'bite your head off' comment.

Let him tend to himself, first - and then tend to you.

Let him sleep one more hour and climb into bed with him.

Aww...does he drink coffee? Take him some, thats what I would do for my hubby. He works nights but definitely gets up at a semi normal time on the weekends if he is off. Yeah...don't give him a hard time...suck it up best you can...it is rough. You don't want to create a bad day from this. GL

My husband works a ton too. He rarely has a day off and when he does I let him sleep.
He works hard, as do I, to provide for our family. But, I am home.
So sometimes I am a bit resentful when I have the three kids and I am trying to do laundry, clean, keep up with the baby, and feed everyone...but I also know that he will be a big ol' grouch if I wake him up.
The latest he sleeps is about 10am and then he is SO THANKFUL that he got to sleep in that he really helps out the rest of the day, so I don't mind letting him sleep.

I wouldn't wake him.
Sorry.
I know you want to do something but it sounds like, with his schedule, he needs his sleep.
