Ok, here is another one for all you name fanatics! I am looking for both a boy and girl name to go with "Jack" and "Ella". I am looking for something (probably) short, traditional, old, 1940ish?, just something to go with those names. I am adding to the mix in June, so I thought I would start thinking! OBVIOUSLY I don't know what I am having, but plan to find out. I would like to have ideas in advance though. Plus, it is always good to have both...JUST IN CASE!!! THANK YOU!!!

PS. Has anyone ever found out what they are having, and actually delivered the opposite? They were right on with my daughter, but I have heard some stories...

What can I do next?

I LOVE the name Cora for a girl and I've always thought Henry for a boy was cute.

Well, I love the names Max, Jack and Myles for boys. But since I have 3 girls and no plans for more, they won't get used here. My girls names are Emma, Sophie and Abby. Good Luck and congratulations!!!

Check out a book called the Baby Name Wizard. It lists "brother and sister" names and styles of names together. So you could look up the names of your two kids and find several that go together. It's a great book.

Oh, and I think that there is a slight chance depending on the level of ultrasound that you receive, but usually the tech will say whether they got a clear view or not. I was glad we wanted to find out with ours because my husband and I both were watching the screen and knew he was a boy before the tech said anything. LOL. However, I think that at the beginning of ultrasounds the technology wasn't as good and those kind of mistakes happened a lot more.

I have an Ella and absolutely loved the name Ava for our second, but my dear husband refused. I don't know if it is the right time frame or not, but it is short and one of my favorite. Ava Grace has a nice ring to it. As for having the opposite, my sister was pregnant with baby #2 and the ultra sound said it was a boy. The shower was for a boy, everything blue after having a girl already. Boy name picked out and the whole bit. Here he comes, oops, it's a girl. Luckily she had a few things left from having a previous girl. Too bad she couldn't return the clothes she had already washed up because baby #3 (and last baby) was also a girl! I also have two girls, so I can't help you with a boy name. We don't know anything about baby boys! Good luck!
