My full name is anastasia and I absolutely love it! I also like Anna with Ava. Or what about Annabella. Good luck and let us know what you chose.
So we are trying to name our little girl that will be here in just a few weeks and we are having great difficulty so I would love your ideas! In a nutshell, we are looking for something fairly simple that goes well with Ava, which is my other daughter's name.
Thanks so much!!

Try this website. http://www.babynamewizard.com/namipedia/advanced-name-finder It lets you search by first letter and much more! I am also in the process of finding names that start with A or end with "en" "in" or "on" for our new baby. My other sons are Austin and Aiden. I'm curious what other mamas think! Good luck!
Amanda, Angela, Anna, Alma, Andaga
My favorite is Kathleen Audrey. You could call her Kate. Kate and Ava are cute names. A friend has an Ava and a Fiona which is very pretty.
I know you have a lot of responses, but wanted to let you know I am going through the same exact thing right now. My husband and I can't totally agree on a name and I have less then 7 weeks to go and having another girl. My first ones name is Ella. Right now we have it narrowed to Alivia, Ashley, and a few others. Just wanted to wish you good luck!

Aurora
Anastasia
Aalia
I love Ameila, Audrey, Avery--getting pretty popular.
A friend has a little Ayla. (pronounced Eye-la). I think that might be the heroine from Clan of the Cave Bear, but I never read those (and doubt anyone will remember them in 20 years.)
I love the name Amalia. (pronounced A-MAHL-ya). So feminine, and a beautiful alternative to Emily, which has become so popular. I also like Aliya, Elena, Ella, Hannah. We know a baby Anastasia (pronounced with a short a, an-a-STAH-shia).
Glancing through my kid's school directory, these might interest you:
Amiyah
Aja
Amaya
Adele (OK, it doesn't end with "a" but I think it's retro-adorable)
Syriah (like the NPR correspondent, I think, pronounced ser-EYE-ah)
Annaliese (could go with Annaliesa)
Annilee
My daughter's nave is Averi. I also helped name my neice Addison. My brother also has 2 other girls names Allyssa, and Ashley.
Good luck and Congrats!!!!!
Don't want to let my daughter's name become too common, but we live the name Lylah, which can also be spelled Lilah or Lyla or Lila. I believe it is from the 40's and seems to be coming back. Hope this helps!
Sorry, I was thinking Ava was her sister, and after reading the other responses, realized it will probably be her first or middle name instead. Well, it's still a suggestion.
Maya goes good with Ava....
I like Ella.
My daughter's name is Kathryn, but we call her Katie. Nice and simple but if she was to be a professional (dr, lawyer, etc) or decided she didn't want a "cute" name, she could go by Kathryn or Kate for the formality.
What about Alaina or Alayna ???
Ariana
Anibella
Adriana
Alexa
Hope this helps. Good Luck
I love the name Ava and if I ever had twin girls I think I would have used Ava and Olivia or Isabella (Isa or Bella for short). My daughter is Gianna (GiGi for short or Gia). That sounds cute Ava and Gia. Good Luck
My littlest one is named Anna. I really wanted to name her Eleanor, though- my husband hated it.
My daughters' names are Avery and Alexandra. I also liked the name Addison and Amanda. Good luck.
Lara, Arla, Audrey, Ariana, Alena, Lena, Leah, Arin (Erin).
I love Amanda (aka M.) Annelle (aka Ann or Annie) Amarae (Am-a-ray) and Shelby...I know it's not an "A" but it's so cute and can be spelled sooo many diff ways too!
Have fun and congrats! :-)
I love the name Asia and also Alexa or Alexandria. My friends named their daughter Ara. ALso, our babysitter is named Alma (Spanish for Soul).
Good luck and congrats!
I named my daughter Carys Elizabeth, so I'm partial to that one :). Carys rhymes with "Paris". If I were to do it over again, I would probably spell her name Karis or Caris so people would pronounce it correctly. Carys is a Welsh name meaning "love".
hi A.. I'm not gonna even try to give you name suggestions that i've picked out incase i have a girl, since most think that they're strange and unusual:-) however, my close friend just had a new baby girl and they named her, Alivia. It's just like olivia, but with an A and pronounced "Uh-liv-ee-ah" I love it a lot and it suits her well. :-) What do ya think?
Anneka (Annika),Alexandra, Alexa, Audriana.
I love the name Emma and it works well with Ava.
Good luck making the decision.
My daughter goes to school with an Alden which I think is super cute and also goes well with Ava. Good luck!

I think Samantha Ava sounds cute! How about Erin or Danielle?
Adriana~~ my name :) or anabella Best of luck, u have a lot of suggestions on here...
Anya, Anna, Angela, Anita, Aurora
I agree with the lady who said Alina. Just for the simple fact that that is my 5 year olds name. It was a family friends name, and I get complimented on it about everywhere we go. That and its not a made up name, like you find all the time anymore. The only problem with the name is people don't say it proper all of the time ex: Aleena or alIna.
I personally love Arabella, But i'm sure what ever name you choose will be great. God Bless her and her big sis too!
My friend named his son Adelie. It's pronounced like Natalie but without the N. It means noble, serene.
I think it's pretty. Good luck.
Deb
Hi!
I liked Alyssa, Abigail (Abby) or Annalise. My little girl's name is Emersyn (if you are looking for the vowel sound at the beginning). Love the name Ava too by the way!
Congrats!
How about Amelia, my little girl is Hannah and I love that name too. Good luck!
Great website: www.nymbler.com
It will help you find names that you like that go well with Ava or any other favorite you might have.
My ideas with "a" endings/beginnings:
Anna (aa-na)
Ana (ah-na)
Analiese (ah-na-lease)
Juliana (julie-ah-na)
Liliana (lily-ah-na)
Mia (me-ah)
Lianna (lee-ah-na)
I have a two year old named Avarie, a combination of Ava and Avery, which we pronounce Avery.
We are expecting our second girl in May and are planning to name her Annabella, Bella for short!
There are so many great "A" names! Good luck choosing!
Wow, you got a lot of responses! I think someone already mentioned Amelia - my friend has two daughters: Ava and Amelia, very cute. I also heard another name recently that I thought was cute: Aubrey. Congrats on your little girl!
Arianna, Anika, Anita, Annabella
hi A.,
i have a few, here goes......
first is ava going to be the first or middle name?
AVA ARIANNA, AVA ALANNA, OR IF YOU WANT TO GO OUTSIDE THE BOX.... AVA ASIA, AVA ARISTA( SHE WAS ONE OF KING TRITONS DAUGHTERS FROM THE LITTLE MERMAID.THESE NAMES CAN BE SWITCHED AROUND SO THAT AVA IS THE MIDDLE NAME.GOOD LUCK ON YOUR BLESSED EVENT AND THE NAME YOU GIVE HER.
SINCERLY,
B.
How about Anastasia?
I dont know if you are using the Ava in her name or it is your daughters name already---I named my daughter Lia Danielle (both family/traditional) names--I have received tons of compliments & I had read in a book that it sounds nice if one name ends in a the second or first should not--(ie Ava Gabrille, Ave Daniella, Ava Rae--I love 3 letter names Ava Zoi/Zoe (means life in Greek) other a names which are nice Gabriella, Gavriella, Olivia is beautiful--just ask me, I am having my ceserean on April 10th & running into some girl name problems, becuse I am trying to do it traditionally---I have gone over every name in the book--I love Nina, my husband didnt like it much---I love Danielle, but my husband says its the middle name of our first daughter(named after her grandfather). I have gone over every name in the book--I like savanna/ah & Samantha too. If you need any other suggestions for manipulating past relatives names a bit I am pretty good at that, please feel free to contact me. I am laboring over a girls name like crazy & watch me have a boy--if I have a boy it is either Dennis/Daniel George after both our dads--see, my problem is I have a little freedom because I am more concerned about the Greek version of the name & I can slightly manipulate the Ennglish name--so if you need any other suggestions, my brain is thinking names every day---I Love Grace, Elizabeth & my husbands grandmothers name is Andriana---which I would do Andria/Andrea & call her Andi/Andee for short--how do you like that one?
This is fun -- I'm writing down as many that come to mind ...
Anya - Anna - Arianna - Aliya - Annabella - Ariana - Alyssa - Annamaria - Amanda - Alana - Adrianna - Agatha -
Athena - Abigaila - Analiza - Audrina - Anastasia - Acacia - Andrea - Apelonia - Alisa - Amelia - Angela - Aurora ....
I hope this helps!
Hi A....Congrats on having another baby girl! I am expecting my second son in about 6 weeks. My older son'a name is Everett and we (me) are agonizing over finding another E name that goes nicely with that and our last name so I truly appreciate your situation :) A friend just had a baby girl that she named Ava to go with her older son's name which is Ari and how cute do those sound together?? So, you could go with one of the versions of Ariana or just call her Ari. A recent trend with A names seems to be Avery which is close to Ava-maybe too close-but nice nonetheless. Kind of old school, but these names are making a comeback, is Audrey. One of my favs is Annabelle-kinda kitschy-but cute and think of all the nicknames you'd have if you like nicknames!
Good luck!
K. C
Congratulations! We have three "A" girls...Andrea, Annalisa and Ava. All of their names begin and end with "A" (which was not really planned). Hope this helps! Personally, I think Amanda is cute, but it just didn't work for us. Good luck!
Hello, I didnt read all the responses, but my daughters name is Audrey Anna. At first we thought of Audreanna, all together, but with her 2 bothers being Ryan and Troy we thought that might be too long, so we made Anna her middle name....I still call her sometimes with both names together :-)
Its an old fashion name ( her grandmothers ) but I just love it.
Good luck with your decision.
N.
Mom of 3 awesome kids, Ryan 13, Troy 9 and Audrey 4. Wife to one of the greatest guys around for the last 19 years.

My next daughter will be Greta. Works perfectly with Ava.
How about Alicia or Alyssa?
I know you have received a MILLION responses - at least 200 is the most I've even seen on this site - but I wanted to share my experience, which I highly recommend.
1st: Rather than looking for a name that sounds good with Ava, you should look for a name that fits with the meaning of the name Ava. Research what Ava means in the culture that you draw from and research names that have meanings that resonate with you that you can add on.
2nd: Don't be in a hurry to name your child before she's born. If you can work it out with the delivery hospital, as I did, plan to name your child within 7 days (or less) of her birth. You can tell that for cultural reasons, you don't name your child for at least 5 days after her birth. That's what I did.
It was fun just calling my son "baby" and trying on names for him. I think it allows for you to name your child based on her personally, affect, birth day, etc. It's really fun and, to me, makes sense to not name someone until you have met them.
I didn't name my son until he was about 5 days old. The name that I chose means "Beautiful Joy Sent by God" and it pulls from three different cultures. I always wanted my son to have a name that makes a statement about who he is in the world and what he means to his parents.
So I wish you the best, but I suggest taking your time with it and have FUN with it. It's an awesome thing to be able to name someone. A name that will be used for them forever.
Blessings!
Amanda
Alicia
Alexa
Alexia
Anna
what about "Avianna" or "Arianna" or "Ayanna"

I like knowing what is the meaning of a name - love the name "Alana" (middle vowel sound like in "pot") Name means "peaceful; attractive" or Alexa, with the name meaning "protector; defender". I'm sure if you go by other sites, the definition may change slightly. Or...throw the name "Olivia" in the mix. I never realized that "Ava" has been one of the top five names in the U.S, for a couple years, in some states it's #1 (so is Olivia).
Ava is such a romantic name, worthy of a strong, romantic middle name. Looking forward to seeing your final pick.
I come from a family of all "A" names.. will any of these girl names work for you? Anna, Ann, Alison, A., Alicia, Amy or Anastasia.?
Boy Names are Alver, Andrew, Allen, Arthur and Aaron.
Good Luck ..and whatever you name her.. may she be healthy, sweet and loving.
Our little girl's name is AVARY. We absolutely love it and she gets lots of compliments on her name. We are due in July (don't know if boy or girl) and we are kicking around ELLA and ANYA if we have another girl. Best of Luck!

Well... I can only think of one more since the previous posters mentioned a few...
There is Ariele from Disney's mermaid character, but it does not end in an a.... so you could spell it like this...

I've always like Arianna you could use "Ari" for short. How does that sound Ava & Ari? I like unusual names so here's a few I almost used, but they don't start with "A":
Enya
Ena
Tru
Odessa and/or "Desa" for short
Tuesday
Good luck!
I take it you are looking for a name that starts with the letter A.
Adelina, or Abby are get names but I would say my favorite name does not start with an a and that is Etta. That would have been my choice it we had a girl.
God Bless~

Don't know if anyone's mentioned this one yet, but I have a niece named Arrianna.

Adrianna
My husband and I got my oldest's name from the internet..Hebrew for spring...Avianna
We got our other daughter's name from the movie credits on the Count of Monte Cristo, Milena (Me-lay-nah)...We always watch the movie credits to find those great names.
Hi A.,
We named our daughter Annika (pronounced with a soft a like "ah." I noticed other responders included it but with various spellings. This is the Scandinavian way of spelling it which is where I became familiar with the name because I lived in Sweden for several years. Good luck and enjoy your new baby girl!
how about Alexia or Anna, or Anaria.
Or Aria?
