Can anyone tell me about The Hooded Sage or Khris Krepcik... My Bff's little sister left a note on her bed and told her family she went to Ireland to stay & "work" for them. And now she wants her mother to send her money. Her family is very worried they put a trace on her laptop which is in NYC not Ireland. She writes them strange emails (won't call). Is the Hooded Sage a Cult?

Any info I can tell them would be great (they have looked on the web but would like something other than internet info)

T.

P.S she is in her early 20's

What can I do next?

I smell a scam. Anyhoo, tell the parents to hire a private detective. If the dude is good, he's not going to let anything too damning float around the internet. You'll need to find someone who can find people who have been victimized financially and emotionally to get real answers and a clue as to where their daughter is living now...and a P.I. is probably their best bet.

Some say so. Google it!

Usually when adults join a cult, they stay forever, or stay until THEY realize it's a cult, or until they are kidnapped out & deprogrammed by their family, someone they've hired, etc.

Some say the Mormon religion is a cult. Some say no.

Here's an interesting site:

Good luck--how unsettling this must be!

Have you checked out their website? I just googled it and found this:

http://www.thehoodedsage.com/about/

If she's 20, there's not much anyone can do about that.......

Someone in the family could contact the organization and pretend interested in "joining" to try to get some more info.

What is on the internet is extremely accurate, and it all says the same thing!! This is definitely a cult, and the fact that they can't talk to her, reaffirms that. Hopefully they will not send her money, as the money won't go to her, but instead will support this Cult. This is very sad and there won't be much they can do, because she is a legal adult.
