My 12 mo. old has been teething since the day he was born. His birthday was sunday and since that day he has been SCREAMING in pain. I have called the doctor and yadda yadda yadda but he never gets a break from the pain. It's been 3 full days and nights of very little sleep and a whole lot of drool and tears. I know he's getting his cainine teeth (all at once) but has anyone had this happen where the pain just does not let up?????

What can I do next?

I used Orajel for my baby and it would stop her pain within two minutes and I'm not exagerating. I think its the best thing out there. They have different formulas and I liked the gel one best. Please give it a try, I'm sure it will help. Once I applied it to my daughter's gums I would still have some residue on my finger, so if it was in the middle of the night, I would just lick my finger and it would actually numbed my mouth a bit. So I think this stuff is really really good! Hope he feels better soon.

Use hylands teething tablets. They work wonders and are all natural. They worked absolutely amazing for my son. You can find them at walgreens. Good luck!

When my baby was teething I would put as many pacifiers as we had in the fridge to get cold. When they were really cold I would let her bite on them to ease her pain. I would also put the teething rings in the fridge too, all the way in the back where it's the coldest. Now that more are coming in if she's in a lot of pain we use Motrin or Tylenol. We also tried a piece of ice in a damp towel and sugar free pop sickles. Good luck.

Hi K.,
My 15 month old son is getting his molars, 1 is 95% broke through, and the other is just starting! I give him a dose of Tyelenol or Motrin is the morning after breakfast and it seems to help him most of the day. He is definately in some pain, nothing is off limits to be shoved in his mouth. I try to let him chew on his plastic spoon (as long as he is sitting) because it is long enough to reach that back tooth! I hope this may help you a little. Good Luck!

P.S. Please be carefull of Orajel! It can numb the tissue in the back of the throat and the child can choke!
