Teeth Cleaning Without Xrays

Looking for a dental office that offers a thorough teeth cleaning but does NOT require xrays. I've fulfilled my quota for xrays...don't want anymore. But my dentist requires xrays before every teeth cleaning.
Many thanks in advance.

I'm having my teeth cleaned without x-rays from Dr. Sam Patel in McKinney next month, since I'm pregnant and certainly don't want to irradiate the baby!!! It might be worth a call to see if he'll help you--I don't know if he'll have a different policy if you're not an established patient.

I go to Dr Keeter's office in Dallas (NW Hwy and Preston). This is the best (and most reliable) dentist I have ever met. I had 3 cavities when I started going to him 3 years ago.... ever since we just clean and do XRay once a year. But I did skip Xray one year where I did not buy dental insurance and he had no problem with it. He is really worth trying... just to experience the professionalism of jim and his staff. Let me know if you decide to visit him.

I do not know of a specific dentist. However, I went to a dentist when I was pregnant (in another city) and did not have to have x-rays. He said that you could spot major issues or cavities even without the x-ray. They all prefer it, and you may have to sign some kind of waiver. However, the hygienist cleans you teeth anyway...not the dentist.

We go to All Smiles Dentistry in Allen at 75 and Bethany. I'm not sure about the first time, but my husband and I tell them we don't want them anymore, and we just watch a 2 minute video about why x-rays are important, and we move forward. Video doesn't change our mind, as we really don't feel the need to have the darn x-rays. So, we get our teeth cleaned like normal, but without the x-rays! Like I said, I'm not sure if they can take on a patient without ever doing x-rays, like for the first time, but I know we don't have to have them anymore. Their website is www.numberonedentist.com. Great, great dentist there! Good luck!
