Why can't I open Laura D's question about when is it time to move. It looks interesting and I've tried to open it from the questions page, refreshed in case it just didn't load, then went to her profile and clicked on it...nothing but blue screen from mamapedia stating there was an error loading that question.
This is what it says. I can't imagine that it was a hot question and was removed...but please fill me in, my curiosity is peaked.

ETA in response to critique of my answer....
I have worked very closely with our local child welfare and one of the workers is a dear friend. Also I have worked with Habitat for Humanity on the Board of Directors, we have had child welfare workers come in and give information on HUD laws and how they do have to technically follow them. Specifically so we'd do right by our families. If they need more bedrooms we need to make sure they have them. After these discussions we voted to never build a house smaller than a 3 bedroom. If a couple, or single parent, ever have another child and their older child is very much older or their new child is a different gender they have instantly outgrown their home.
IF there are too many kids in a small space it is not something they can let go. If this room is 10'X9' which is what I would call a small room then 3 kids in that room do not have the regulation required sq ft per person they should have.
We have had parents come to Habitat and have multiple kids and we've had to make extra rooms so there would not be more than 2 kids in one room.
Also, a friend of mine has 4 kids. 2 boys and 2 girls. One set of kids were 9 and 10 years old when mom had a set of twins. The housing authority had to move her into a 4 bedroom house so the big kids would not be sharing rooms with siblings that young. The twins shared a room until they were 4 I think, when the older sister moved out. Then each child had their own bedroom. She didn't have to move into a 3 bedroom until her son moved out when he went into the Army after graduation.
So yes, there are specific regulations that HUD, child welfare, and other organizations that deal with housing people have to go by.
Again, IF child welfare was called they legally could take the kids simply because "She said" the room was small, her definition of small wasn't mentioned. If it's a very small room she could be in trouble.
I still don't imagine someone will call on them just because the kids are sharing a room. My concern was with the boy that is actually not even in a bedroom. That would be something that they would not accept.
Actually if child welfare is ever called to any home in the circumstances you guys are saying they can and often will take the kids into custody because laws state specific rules pertaining to different gender kids and too many kids in the same room are written
Same with child welfare. They go with HUD regulations. Which usually state only 2 children of the same gender can be in the same bedroom. IF the children are really young different genders can share but it's something they don't like to do.
So technically the family could get into trouble if child welfare came to visit them due to a call but for the most part they wouldn't be bothered.
Plus...it's a 2 bedroom. That means mom and dad have one room. Kids all in one room? Someone said boy in a room with glass doors so I assume that's not a bedroom but maybe an office? or dinning room? Something with french doors? So what I'm getting is that 3 kids are in one small bedroom and 1 boy is in a room that's not really a bedroom but is acting as one with curtains put up behind glass doors. So that doesn't sound like they'd pass any sort of inspection by any officials. That's enough reason to move or add on.
And I've seen stuff before that was illegal or bordering abuse and those questions weren't deleted.

Because mamapedia sucks :-)
I posted a question a few months ago that never got any responses. I got an email from someone saying they couldn't open it.
It's a bug of some sort. I doubt the response about how many kids per room got it pulled. Someone else corrected that it was for foster families.

CSD DOES NOT REMOVE KIDS UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES DESCRIBED IN first post or any that have been posted for this post. The rule mentioned only apply to foster children and even then it's not a crime.
****edited to add: where did the information about CSD come from? I've worked extensively with CSD. CSD would NOT get involved or remove children because they share a room. I've seen large families in small apartments; boys and girls both and more than 2 to a room.
I remember this post. She's asking about buying a larger house. CSD doesn't care if she does or doesn't. The only rules about sharing a room are for foster children. A boy and girl cannot share a room because foster children come from homes in which they may have been molested or exposed to inappropriate sexual content.
Please be sure of the accuracy of a comment before passingit on. Especially in this post where one cannot read the original post. CSD has a bad enough rap without adding inaccurate information. Unless the mom added to her post CSD would NOT even open a case let alone go to her home.
It appears to me that her post has been blocked and not removed. I don't know why. Again some are jumping to conclusions without having enough information.

When I click on the question from Laura D.'s post I get the message that starts with "Oops" and goes on to say something about the page not being available. When a post is pulled I don't get a message at all. The click pulls up the home page. I suggest the post wasn't pulled and that there is a computer glitch.

I was confused by Becca's response because what the poster was doing was not illegal. (I think Becca thought all 4 children were in one room.) The poster said her son had a small room with glass doors so they hung a curtain for his privacy. Nevertheless, he wanted a room with 'real' doors. Her 3 daughters shared a small bedroom that was just too small for 3 growing girls.
I have no idea why the post was removed.

Looks like MP removed it. She posted that she and hubby live in (and love) a small home (2 bed/2bath) with four kids. They have made it work, but wonder if it's time to move. Another *mom* posted it was illegal for 3 kids to share a room in OH and it was illegal for children of the opposite sex to share a room. Not sure if it is true, but I bet that's why it was removed. Although, the original poster never said who was sharing or how many...Way to go OH random law enforcer for having a legitimate question removed:)

All we are looking at is an interface. We click buttons and this calls a database. All it takes is one small change, like someone in admin accidentally adding a number to the number that follows the question, deleting something. So then it calls for that question number but it doesn't exist so you get an error message.
What I am saying is the question is there but it is not where the button thinks it is. If you look at her profile you can see the question and the first few lines..
I'm getting the same error. I had gotten in earlier and was able to answer, but when I clicked Post, it gave me the error. No idea if my answer actually posted.
ETA: I just checked my own answers...looks like it did post, I just can't go back to the page and see it. Weeeeiirrrd.

This has been happening randomly with posts for several months now. I messaged Mamapedia, asking about it and got lip service.
Very annoying.

I am the one that posted about the law in ohio, because my sister got in trouble for having her children (all siblings) sharing boy girl rooms. I just wanted her to check the laws in her state incase there was an issue with the law. Km from Fayetteville
