I so underutilize, and don't understand how to work my i-phone. it is a 4.
Recently, I was advised that there was an ios upgrade available, and I allowed the upgrade.
now my icons for certain apps, including facebook, and swagbucks are no longer on my "desktop."
I can select to open them from the purchased apps area in the apps icon, but this is a bit silly and inconvenient.
Does anyone know how to restore these apps?
Now to make this relevant to parenting, I also need to restore certain toddler game apps.

You should have your phone backed up on your computer (and icloud). If you plug into iTunes to sync your phone it should prompt you to do the back up. Mine did the download via my laptop and then re-installed all my info.
Either way as long as you already paid for apps, movies, music, etc. you can download again onto any or your devices without being charged again.
Hmmm.... All I can figure is that the elf must be angry...did you do/say anything to him? (iPhones are controlled by iElves that live inside the bottom of your phone. When you push the round button at the bottom of your phone it "tickles" the elf, doughboy style, and encourages him to keep the phone going.)
I'm not elf-savvy enough to know how to fix this!
Just went through the same thing. You have to now sync your phone to iTunes on your computer.
Ack! I don't know the answer, but I'm glad I ignored the request to upgrade this morning!
I don't have an Iphone but my son has a 4. He installed the IOS7 and was showing me it. He had some of the same thing with some of his apps. He could swipe in the middle of the home screen and it would bring up his apps that weren't on a screen. You might try that to see if it cuts down on any time. Sorry I couldn't be of more help !
Interesting. I updated my ipad, but not my phone (so far anyway). I don't have any issue with the app icons on my home screen. Maybe it is different with the phone?
