Take the money you would spend on that and start a savings account for the baby. You don't come first anymore, the baby does.

I'm pregnant, but I also have tattoos and piercings. No way in hell would I risk disease or blood infections to my unborn child by getting work done while pregnant.

No reputable artist will work on someone who is pregnant.

You have a lot more to worry about in your situation right now than whether or not to get tattoos or body piercings. And didn't you say in your previous post that you were 17? So you couldn't get it done without parental permission, right? But then you worried about how to tell them that you were pregnant. Girl, you need to get your head on straight and get your priorities in order. You don't need to be spending the money or putting yourself at risk for infection. Your focus needs to be on keeping yourself and your unborn child healthy - not getting any body art done!

After reading your only other post....
I would put the money that you may be considering spending on such things and put it away for your baby.

This is a time to take care of your body and revere it. This is a time to focus on the life growing inside you.

You can do whatever you want to your body after your baby is born...but once it's here, you may find that your baby's needs will seem so much more important than "body art".

Just my opinion.

I would NEVER risk that. I have both and I think it would be irresponsible to get a tat or stud while preggers/nursing.

OMG - don't do it....honestly....I've answered more tattoo questions on this site this year....

A few years ago our pool man died from Hep A turned liver cancer, which he picked up at a 'clean' tattoo parlor. He left behind a wife and 2 kids.

Keep your blood clean and pierce away when your not pregnant.

I personally wouldn't do it because things are going to change and move after you have the baby and the tatoo or piercing may be in a place you didn't really want it to go to when you got it. Also, you may feel differently after you have the baby. Sometimes even a little lopsided can bug you forever because something shifted. I won't talk about the health risks, as I am sure others know more about it than I do.

9 months isn't that long and risking an infection while pregnant that can impact the life of your baby is probably not the most responsible thing to do.

No place will do it while pregnant. If they do...yikes.

I did however get one while nursing. I did not even think about it and my artist did not even ask. He had no idea I had had a baby since the last time I saw him. I had not brought my older two in since he changed locations of where he was working...and so when I made the appt...I did not even think while nursing would be a big deal.

their forms never said are you nursing? only asked if I was prego.

Hold off. If you must get a tattoo now.......get some rub on ones. Or use a sharpie.

This way you are 100% sure you want what you want.

I will say after each of my kids I got a new piercing.......Which seems funny now that I think about it...because I could only do it soon after feeling the pains of labor...I compared everything to that once I had remembered it...So get a new hole in my face was not so bad then. Any other time and I can not do it...they hurt too badly. So I will stop at Labret, Marilyn Monroe and my nose:)

Wait.......you can do it.

ABSOLUTE NO NO!!!! You can contract diseases - don't be foolish and think you can't. Besides, it seems to me you have more to worry about and pay for than tats and piercings!
