When we were looking for a tandem stroller, I kept coming back to the Evenflo one found at Wal-Mart (about $100).
Received decent reviews as well.
Ok, I know this topic has come up a thousand times, but I went back as far as the archives would let me and didn't see the topic, so I need to ask it again. My husband and I are looking for a good tandem stroller (he doesn't want a side-by-side one). I've read all the reviews online for various models, and there are so many conflicting opinions.
Have any of you ladies found a good, sturdy stroller that's not astronomically priced? (we're looking in the $150-$180 range) I'm not worried about the weight of it, just the manueverability and comfort options. I know this is a tired subject, but thanks for your input!!

I just bought a Duoglider at Babies R Us a few weeks ago and love it. I love that it has shoulder harnesses to make it a 5 point harness but you don't have to use them if you only want the lap/crotch belt. I use the shoulder harness on the kid in back so they can't pull the hair of the one in front of them. It also has trays that are removable if you don't need them and a cup holder/stow spot for you. The sun shades are a lot larger than the other one I had also and that's great, especially for draping a blanket over the baby. It was $138.00 on sale, normally $149.00. They do have a second one that includes the baby carrier and it's $100 more.
Congrats on the new baby,
J.
We have Graco Duoglider LXI and have been very happy with it. It's economical, easy to maneuver (I can steer with one hand fairly easily), huge basket, and folds much more compactly that I expected (I can fit it in my trunk with a ton of groceries). We've had it for a year now with no issues.
I would stay away from Cosco/Eddie Bauer Strollers the quality just doesn't compare or last to other brands as far as their strollers, carseats etc....
GRACO or Fisher Price in my opinion are the BEST brands in that price range!
J., I have a 5 year old and a 6 month old. I went to babies r us and got a sit and stand stroller. I love it. The front has a seat and then you can you can put any infant carrier in it. The back has a bench that slides and a strap so that they can stand in the back. it was $149.99. Good luck
I have a Graco Duoglider which you can find on-line maybe around the price range you're looking for. Maybe E-bay has one. I did notice an older version at Babies R Us which was at your price range so you might want to call the stores and ask for a tandeum that is an older model that might be on sale.
Although tandem strollers do work out the upper arms a little bit, they really aren't that hard to maneuver. I actually got mine at the Mom's club sale for multiples last year and it was only $50! When I went to the sale, there were 7 to choose from, and mine was the most expensive. It's in really good shape and I love bringing it along wherever I go with the kids. I believe it is a graco and the nice thing about it is that the front tray can come off. I have heard from a lot of people that the trays usually are too close to the seat, which doesn't give their oldest enough room to get their legs in.
I had twins last year and we bought the garco tandem. We like it a lot, it is pretty heavy and bulky but its sturdy and it works well. I had a single evenflo one for older son and I wasnot impressed with the quality of it so figured I'd try my luck with the Graco as I wasn;t going to pay the price for a really fancy one. Its probably the most popular model out there and although there are some conflicting reviews online I found for the most part people liked them. I think ours costed about $160 on clearance (it was the previous years model) but a bucket seat came with it so it shoudlf ir your price range.
