Hi L., we had the Graco Duoglider and I do recommend it. You can probably find one in excellent condition on Craigslist if you want to save a chunk of money. I remember paying like $160 for my stroller plus another $50 for the carseat new. That was before Craigslist! You can usually get one for $50-$75 in great condition.

I had a Graco double stroller. My only suggestion is to get a stroller where the children are streamline instead of sitting beside each other. It is really hard to get a side by side stroller down aisles in shops. Good luck!

My daughter has a 4 yr. old and a 1 yr. old. She has a Duo-Glide double stroller, and it is great. We highly recommend it. I'm the grandma, and I can use it easily.

Hi L. - keep your eyes open, there will be a CMOMs sale coming up on August 16th I believe - Charlotte Mothers of Multiples. They have one day of their twice-annual sale which is open to the public and the amount of high quality items they will have is AMAZING! It is held in Charlotte at the merchandise mart just off 77-North around exit 16; it is well advertised and you and all moms should watch for it as the clothing, toys, furniture, including LARGE items, is incredible even after the members have shopped. And the prices are very reasonable - last year I got a brand-new still in the box pack and play, large size with all the bells and whistles, for only $35. They have strollers too and of course as mothers of multiples there are bound to be some double ones. Good luck and congratulations!

Graco Duoglide is awesome and BabiesRUs usually has good sales on them. Almost all the baby seats fit into the back and the basket is big and usable!

Hi L.,I am a stroller freak and have gone through so many double strollers(our boys are 23 months apart).I have done side by side and tandem. If it's going to be a stroller that you want to use in the stores and such I would definatly go with tandem.Right now I have Combi Counterpart.Even though I like it for the most part, I do not think I would reccomend it.I always refused to buy Graco(too common and not cool enough for me LOL), but watching my SIL who's duoglider has gone through 3 kids and still going strong(mine are held by a duck tape) I think I am reconsidering. It has both seats that recline(one flat for a newborn), takes a car seat, nice canopies, huge basket, cupholders and trays for both kids and the parent, handle is high enough for a taller parent(my hubby is 6"4),pushes nicely even with older child in the front. Now it is not small and light, but hey, it's a double stroller.
And it's not cool looking, but hey, it's Graco:)

I find the Graco Duo-Glider super easy to use and it's great with two different ages because you can just snap the baby carseat onto it and still have the bigger one in a regular seat. It turns easily and folds up one handed. It is a bit big and bulky but if I take off the front tray and sunscreen it fits in the trunk of my honda civic. It's also resonably priced and you can usually find them used as well.

Hi L.,
Like Heather, I also have a Babytrend Sit N Stand Stroller. My DD is now 10 months and my son is now 3yrs 4mths. and we have been using this stroller since my DD was born. It holds 40lbs. per seat so we can still get alot more use out of it and I love it and so do the children! Also, when I was researching the Sit N Stand strollers, Target had the one I bought listed on the Net for $119. I went to buy it and it rang up for $83. Don't know if it was on sale or what but what a great deal! Hope this helps!

L.,
I cannot say enough good things about the Phil&Ted stroller. See link below. They used to have a nice photo spread of the different ways to use it, but I don't see it now. When the second child is an infant, the 'main' seat fold down (Easy clips & Zipper) and lays flat. The 'back seat' switches up top (Super Easy to move - 2 buttons to push while you pull it out/put it in) and the toddler will sit up a little higher. My son loved it. When the baby is ready to sit in a traditional stroller, strapped in, the back seat goes into the position that's in the photo. Believe it or not, my kids fought over who got to sit in the back seat. You will also NEVER find an easier stroller to push. My second child was a big boy and I could have both in or carry one of the kids and move around with one hand in tight spots - easiest stroller in the world. Front wheel pivots like a jogging stroller, but it is not designed to be a jogging stroller.

-if there was anything I would change about the stroller -
When my youngest got a little older, there didn't seem to be a graceful way of getting him into the stroller (you want the heavier child in front before you put in the second) It just took a little bit of time.
It's not overly heavy, but it isn't a one hand break down. I think you have different weight expectations when it's a double stroller. When it folds up, it's not exactly compact either.
For air travel, you'll have to pull out the second seat to put it under the plane at the gate.
I love my diaper bags and always hung the diaper bag on the strap. The stroller isn't really set up so you can do this, although I still did at times.

Even with the things I didn't care for about this stroller I would buy it again and again and again.

With that said - it actually breaks my heart, but I have to sell mine. My kids are too big for it now. I'll be putting it on Craig's list in the next couple of weeks if you would like to meet and take a look at it. (I live in N Raleigh off 540) We also have 2 saddle bags that attach to the side or handle.
Hope this helps.

I bought a joovy sit and stand. It holds a baby car seat carrier in the front with the attachment. I bought it used on craigslist because they are very expensive! The back "sit" area is perfect for a toddler, thought it does take some time to teach your toddler that they have to sit while you shop/stroll. I love the joovy... very smooth and it looks comfortable for everyone.

Hi L. - I recommend you check out the Phil and Teds line of double strollers. They have a unique design where the one child is in front of the other so that your stroller is not "double-wide". I was unsure of paying so much for a stroller, but it is definitely worth it!! Very durable and easy to steer, etc.

I have twins, and LOVE my Graco Duoglider. It is all I have used. It's easy to maneuver, and it held both their infant car seats when they were little. They aren't available in a wide choice of prints, but the ones now are nicer than what was available when I was expecting. I definitely wanted the tandem type rather than the side by side because it's easier to use in stores, going thru doorways, that sort of thing. The only issue I'm having now is that whoever sits in the back can kick the front seat or pull the others hair! But they say that's an issue with the side by sides too. Good luck- and congrats on the new baby!!!

I have a sit and stand stroller that I got when my oldest was almost 2.5 (making my youngest 5 months). The older one can sit or stand behind the seat that my youngest sits in. Mine even came with an adapter to use an infant seat on it instead of the seat. I'm not sure how much freedom you want your 20-month old to have. There are straps to make her remain seated and another so to block her from just running off. It will definitely be great to have in the long run (I've been using mine for over a year... still great with a 19 m.o. & 3.5 y.o.!!)

Here's the website with more information:

I see that they also have "regular" double strollers. I've been very pleased with my Baby Trend and highly recommed the brand & stroller. Hope this helps! Blessings, H. :)

My kids are 22 months apart and we used the Phil and Ted's Most Excellent Buggy (it has a different name now...E3 or something like it). It was pricey but it is AWESOME. I got mine shipped free, you have to look around b/c there are several that give free shipping. Here is a link

http://www.philandteds.com/nz/sport_07_1.htm

It fits down aisles, the front wheel swivels or can be locked, it's great for shopping or fast paced walking. And, the best part....I've had mine 4 years and it's STILL sturdy!

I had three babies in three years. When I was pregnant with my second my parents bought me a Jeep double stroller. It was awesome!! I used it all the time. You can put an infant carseat in the back until they are old enough to ride along and there is a little activity center in the front. As they get bigger - recommend putting the heavier child in the rear seat for ease of pushing. But this thing went everywhere with us and it was great with it's shocks and all terrain tires we could do anything! Lots of storage underneath and in the saddle bags on the side too! Good luck!

We have had great luck with a Joovy double stroller that we got last year before my son (now 13 months) was born. My daughter is now 4 years old and she loves the option to sit (facing backward, but she doesn't seem to mind) or stand. I love that it is relatively compact and easy to use. It also worked very well with our infant car seat when we used still used that. It has a good sunshade that can easily be removed and a useful tray for the front seat (my son often had dinner on it during my daughter's soccer practices).

Hi
I'm sorry I can't give you any advice on a good stroller, but I do want to warn you about the Cititrends tandem stroller by Evenflo. It's expensive, doesn't handle the weight of growing children, hard to manuver, hard to break down, and takes up most of the trunk space. Basically, it's a rip off. I just had to put up with it because it was a gift from my in-laws and didn't want to seem ungrateful. My twins were only four months when wheel started squeaking, then it finally broke off two months after that. What might be helpul is if you look at strollers on line. Most stores allow you to read comments and see the ratings that actual customers give products. Hope you find something you love.

L., I shopped around last year for a double stroller and purchased the Valco Tri-Mode Twin Stroller. See website and reviews. I love it! I'm 5'4", 128 lbs and I'm able to lift it in my van without taking it apart. It has a huge basket for storage, removeable carrying cases in back for max. ventilation, and is for infants-6 yrs old. You can also add an attachment for a third child and purchase a bug screen/reflective sunscreen to fit the entire stroller. It is easy to push and I fit into one door at the mall and changing stalls. I liked the side-by-side...both girls like being next to each other and like a good view of what is going on. You can use it for the mall, trails, and jogging. It's expensive, but worth it and I get tons of compliments/questions about it!! You will rarely, if ever, see them being resold. They must get passed from family member to another family member. I looked for a year before buying mine over the internet at the best price I could find. Good Luck!

I have 7 yr old twin boys and a 20 mth old daughter. With multiple kids I found I needed something that didn't take up the whole trunk, lightweight, easy to fold, etc. I have had a Graco side by side, a tandem for walking in the neighborhood, AND A COMBI SIDE BY SIDE. The Combi is my fav hands down. It folds to the size of a pack and play and light enough for me to pick up and carry. When I had my single daughter that was the first thing I purchased with gift money - a single pink combi!

I was also looking and went to all the "baby stores" and then some. Stopped in at Sears of all places and they had a Graco D. Glide in the corner marked down still in the box. It was 99.00 Which was great. It was blue and yellow print and could go for boy or girl. When I asked the assoc. if they had anymore he came over and scanned it. It ended up being 30.00!!!
Just because it was "last years pattern" Both my children had colic. I pushed that stroller to the ends of the earth and back and exceeded the weight with groceries, etc and it held up great. The only problem I had was with the front canopy- The piece that slides it in broke off within a week but I think they recalled it and changed it since for pinching hazard I believe.

I have gone through a ton of strollers. The only one I have kept is the Phil & Ted E3. I have tried the Joovy Caboose - Nice look, basket was very small and hard to use, the foot rest is pain, easier to steer that its counter part the Baby Trend Sit and Stand. The Sit & Stand has a bigger basket and is longer. Tried the Graco didn't like it. I tried the Jane jogging stroller and the seats were to short. My girls are pretty tall.

Hi L., my two kids are 18 months apart. I bought the combi double stroller (not sure if it's the sport or the twin savvy). I really love it and keep thinking it was such a good purchase. Here is what I like about it:
- the kids are side by side (my kids love it)
- it fits through all the doors
- it is a smaller stroller so it still feels like you're handling a regular stroller (even though it's double)
- it is very light
- it fits in a medium size car's trunk.
Somebody recommended it to me. The deciding factor for me was the light weight of the stroller.
Good luck finding the right stroller for you!

I would recommend the Phil & Teds Double Sport Buggy. I have one, and it is awesome!! A bit pricey, but definately worth it! I could go on about it, but you should look for yourself.

http://www.tinyride.com/Phil-and-Teds-Sport-Buggy-with-Do...#
If you search around, you can surely find a great deal. I got mine in Feb. for $399. (including the double seat) I also bought the car seat adapter for $25, and it was also well worth it.

I spent 4 months researching, and I am so glad I chose it.

If Price is not an issue, there is also a newer model, but it will run you $700+ (I think)

If that is too much, the Contours Options Double looks really cool also.

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5223...

What these awesome strollers have in common is that they can function as a double great, but also work as a single. I got rid of ALL my other strollers!

I Hope this helps. Good luck.

BTW, I am a mother of a 3.5 year old girl and an 8 month old boy.

I've got the Joovy Tandem for my 4 yr old and 9 month old. I like it because the older kid can sit and be buckled in or can stand & ride with his hands on handles just for him. He like this position best when the baby was in the car seat on the stroller because then they were facing each other. Also the standing options is good because on outings he can get on and off as he pleases without me having to lift him in and out of a regular stroller. A big plus at the zoo, museums, or amusement parks.
