Hi,

I was a marketing professional and stopped working when my daughter was born. I'd like to return to the work force but would like to work part-time, job share, or work from home. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find these types of positions? I know it's hard since most employers are looking for full time employees.

What can I do next?

Hi M.,

I can relate...I was in the same position. It was on my mind constantly. I thought about retail, job sharing, starting my own at home consulting business. You name it, I thought about it.

My solution came by accident (maybe not, if you believe that there are no such things as accidents!). My girlfriend was hosting a jewelry party at her home. I wasn't going to go. I was a stay at home mom and didn't have the budget for jewelry nor did I have any reason to wear it any more. But my husband had a bad day at work that day and was in a grumpy mood when he came home. So I escaped by going to my friends house for a little while.

That night changed my life! I fell in love with the jewelry and the "jewelry lady" that gave the party was so nice that when she told us that she made 50% on whatever she sells plus commission on her downline without having to carry any inventory, I thought "I could do that!"

I have been a "jewelry lady" now for over 4 years. I absolutely love it and it has truly changed my life in many ways.

If you're at all courious, I'd love to share it with you. It might be just what you need.

Hi M.,

I still work full-time as a teacher in a district that does not provide health benefits. I've tried several in-home sales jobs but I finally found beauticontrol through my mom. I was at first reluctant but it has helped me out pay for insurance for myself and my 2 boys. Please check out my website at http://www.beautipage.com/elisa_mendoza/index.asp for more information. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you!
E.

Best wishes
