We are new to the area and Needing suggestions on a good OBGYN and or Women's clinic for myself and an internal Medicine or Family Practice Dr for both my husband and myself. Any suggestions would be great. We want to make sure we're going to a recommended physician.
I go to Northland Women's Health Care. They are right by St Luke's Northland. I see Dr. Driskell, and I highly recommend her, although there are several other good doctors in the office too. I moved here about 5 years ago, and tried several doctors before finding ones I'm happy with. I also see Dr. Nichols, and would highly recommend her.
My general physician is Dr. Katherine Hanson at North Kansas City Internal Medicine. She is extremely caring, and takes an interest in your whole health, not just what may be ailing you at the moment. I highly recommend my OBGYN, Dr. James Morgan, in North Kansas City. He really takes time to listen and respond. I'm always comfortable discussing even the most uncomfortable issues. He is extremely competent and capable. He did surgery for me a few years ago. I have never experienced a more thorough pre-surgery appointment. He explained every step and made sure I was aware of every option available to me. His staff is very thorough and compassionate, as well, and they are readily available. What ever you do in picking your OBGYN doctor, make sure they will deliver at the hospital that you want (or in some cases of ins, have to), before going and liking one and not being able to use them.
I personally like Dr. Fitch and his group, Dr. Rios, Dr. Spell, etc... They are at NKC in the annex.
For my family dr. I like Gashland Clinic and Dr. Fox. But I have seen others that are there & really like them all. Plus the bonus is they are an Urgent care center, so they have your records in the event of an afterhours visit....

For the other DR, I have my own here in Platte City
dr Steven Carder in liberty does it all.. he delivered my daughter who is 12 and my whole family has been with him that long. He has his own practice and I never have to wait when I go there. ###-###-####. His mom even works there!!!
I absolutely love our family doctor. He is a doctor of internal medicine and a pediatrician and is absolutely wonderful. I have been seeing him for ten years. His name is Dr. James McDonald and he is at Clay-Platte Family Medicine and he is behind the Hen House on 64th Street right over there by you. The phone number there is ###-###-####. The other doctors in the office are great too and I do believe there is another doctor if internal medicine there also
I read some of the other posts as I was searching for a Better Doctor. Dr Morgan I have seen myself. as well as 1 of the others with Dr Morgan as my OB with my pregnancy I have a very serious issue with my pregnancy and he refused to help after I had been going there for 2 months. I was shocked and immediately began looking for a better Dr. .. Thanks to the Mom that wrote about Dr. Carder I spoke with them today and He is one of the only Dr's I found willing to step in at this point in the pregnancy to handle the baby. He is no longer an OB but having practiced has the knowledge base. I meet with him tomorrow .. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. Although he is out of network for me, my childrens well being is worth everything in the world to me.. therefore I am gratefull! I meet with him tomorrow but I spoke with them on the phone and they said no problem.. Thank God for Good Doctors that really care about our babies!!
