I saw someone ask about Totsy.com awhile back and many people complained about them. Unfortunately I had already ordered stuff before I found out they were lame. I placed an order on March 24th and they just now sent me an email saying part of my order was cancelled because its out of stock. Not sure why they couldnt have done that 2 months ago. But anyways, I noticed someone mentioning it happened to them too. Did you get your refund with no hassles? They are saying it will take awhile to refund. BLAH!
Is Zulily any better?

I LOVE zulily. I haven't had to return anything, so I can't speak to that experience. The only downside is that it takes awhile to get your stuff, but then again...two day shipping w/Amazon Prime spoils you rotten. =)
i am also waiting for my totsy order. it was supposed to have shipped on 4/21 but my order status does not show shipped but my credit card has been charged. so, i'm assuming it's been shipped because it's illegal to charge before shipping.
i like zulily. i got some great deals on skip hop products and they should be delivered any day.
I am not familiar with this particular company, but I was a buyer back in the day and the one thing that was out of our control were the manufacturing companies,
We would go to market and find fabulous items, order them and the companies would promise them.. We would plan out catalogs, mail outs, etc..based on these buys months ahead of time . people would begin placing their orders and the merchandise might never come.. or would be running late.. Then the companies were not able to fulfill the orders. Drove me insane!
Sometimes the company had run out of the fabrics, if imported the shipments took too long, or were lost and hopelessly late. Or the company went bankrupt.. Same with small mom and pop manufacturing..
I assume it is still the same.. I do hope this company is prompt about crediting you. That was always a priority, of course we never charged a client until the merchandise came in, but I hated disappointing clients about these items.
I suggest you contact the Better Business Bureau. Nowadays that is not acceptable.
I don't know about their return policy when things are out of stock but I tried to cancel an order I placed in October (decided it wasn't a good idea) and they have an absolutely no refunds policy. The item (which was ordered in early October) finally arrived at my house in mid-December. I have not shopped from them since then - something about not being able to cancel orders/return things really struck me as off.
No experience with Zullily at all.
Zulilly is great for the most part, tho they too can have a back order.
I love Zulily. I've ordered from them 30+ times and I've only had three mistakes (where I got an incorrect item) - in ALL those cases they credited me back the amount of the item AND the shipping cost AND let me keep the item. So I have to say, best customer service ever. And they have some really good brands like Oilily and Baby Lulu (I have boys so I'm more into stuff like Wonderboy) If you are going to order from Zulily you should always use a coupon code because they literally always have them - you can find coupon codes on http://www.SampleSaleMom.com. The shipping seems to be long on all of these sites - with Zulily it seems to take exactly a month before my orders show up. But that's fine with me because I always order in advance... Zulily also has a much, much better selection (more sales) than Totsy does.
