SCAM! SCAM!! SCAM!!!!!
You do the work and they will find a problem with it and not pay you...however, they get their work done!!! and you get screwed...
I have seen several advertisements for envelope stuffers needed. I was wondering has anyone tried this? Is is a scam or ligit? And also is it worth it? There is a recent post about envelope stuffers needed right now and i am in serious need of some kind of income. The post says earn $4-$6 per envelope stuffed stamps and supplies furnished.
Ok. first of all thanks everyone for the great advice. I felt it was a scam and a ripoff I just wanted other people to confirm that before I tried it. I will of course not be stuffing envelopes. thanks again for all the help. it was very much appreciated!!

Scam and a half! :)
We were desperate after my husband was out of work for 6 months (desperate and broke). That made us more broke. And they had some kind of legal loophole that made it so you couldn't claim they were illegitimate or misleading.
It was something to the effect of you post ads for people to mail you a check with an application to start stuffing envelopes at home. The envelopes you are going to stuff are the envelopes you mail back to them saying what you are really doing and how they can't get their money back. It relies on more people being duped.
If they are not upfront with contact information for questions (in other words, if they ask you to send ANYTHING first) it is the same kind of scam.
Some safer options: Post a CraigsList ad or something through a local community organzation for house cleaning a few mornings a week (whatever your free morning is) and only have one or two families. A senior can be a good choice since they don't always have kids who can help out. Offer to sell things on ebay for friends/family for a small percent of the selling cost. See if your local liquor store or gas station convenience store has any need for just one shift to be filled or something. Sell Avon. Whatever you do in the end, the envelope stuffing is not a good idea.
Scam. Ask yourself the question: Why would any legit business pay $4 per envelope when they could hire someone at minimum wage to do it for them?
SCAM.... all that stuff is SCAM.
If you pursue, they will ask you for $ for some reason or another.
Please don't fall for these scams.
If it sounds too good to be true..... it is too good to be true.
It's a scam. I checked one of the companies. You stuff envelopes with adds for other people to stuff envelopes...and then they send YOU their 30 dollars, and you send them the info on how to stuff envelopes (so THEY start sending envelopes telling people to stuff envelopes.)
I've never seen a more ridiculous scam, honestly. There's no product or service involved...just a big cycle of RIPOFF.
Who in their right mind would pay someone that much money to stuff an envelope? Look at this way - why would a perfect stranger pay anyone 400-600 bucks to stuff 100 envelopes? It definitely sounds too good to be true.
Scam. If it sounds too good to be true, then it is too good to be true.
