Stubborn Gray Hairs

I have just a few gray hairs, but they are on the top of my head. What makes it worse, is that I'm a brunette, so they show up even more. I get highlights and lowlights put in and they look great..for about a month or so, but then the dye disappears from those strands (way before I'm due to get it colored again). I could take one of those hair crayons and get hide them all, but I don't have the time to do that every day. How can I keep the grays covered? Thanks!!!

What can I do next?

I'm also a brunette who pays $140 ever 3-4 months for color/highlights. I have quite a bit of gray to only be 35. It just runs in the family. Anyway, to keep the cost down from going in every 6 weeks, I buy that Loreal (I think) Root Touch Up. It is an awesome product. It gives you just enough color to hit the greys and tide you over for a few weeks. It's very easy to find a shade that will be pretty close to the color of the rest of your hair. You can find it on the hair color isle at Walmart. It's great that for about $6, I can buy myself a few more weeks before forking out the big bucks! LOL

I would reccomend going to an all over color and for more depth and dimension, I would certainly consider a high light, and visual interst if you wanted, low- lights.
