Any recommendations for a double stroller for an almost two year old and five month old? Not a side by side, they are too cumbersome. Thanks ladies.

I loved our sit and stand when my boys were younger. They are 3 years apart. We started using one when my youngest boy was able to sit up more, so 5 months I'd say maybe. We used one of those inserts the first few months to give him a little more "coosh" until he got bigger. We never used an infant carseat, instead opting for a convertible carseat that stayed in the car at all times but a sit and stand does have the attachment bar to put the infant carseat bubble on if you use that.

I love my citi select, but it does take up my entire SUV trunk. Graco makes one that looks similar to the citi, but they didn't have it when I bought my citi. What I like best about the Citi Select is that when the 2 year old gets too old to sit in the stroller, you can use the same frame with one seat and a gliding board on the back. I see the Phil & Teds and I don't understand why any child would want to sit in the back. It's low to the ground and all you see is the seat in front of you. With the Citi Select, you can change positions of the seats and both children will be able to see everything around them.

I like my sit and stand stroller, I still can use that thing with a 3 and 6 year old. although its super heavy with such big kids in it now! It is a nice variety of ways they can sit in there. The only bad thing about it, it doesn't fold down very small. At least, my version doesn't. But it is a big stroller, what can we expect.

The front was where you could click in the infant seat, the back is where thebigger kid hops on to stand (facing forward) or turns around to sit (facing the mom/dad who is pushing). When your baby is out of an infant seat, you attach the little cup holder tray thingie and they can sit in the front too (facing forward). The front seat does not recline all the way back though. So you kinda forfeit the long stroller naps.

Chico folds down the best.
Double sit n stand is nice, - especially when your 2 year old gets a little older.

My kids are 3 years apart, but we put the youngest in the carrier for a while, then my oldest was strong enough to walk so we just use the single stroller.

Good luck.

Any stroller is going to be fine. They are all basically the same thing. A seat in the front for the older child then a seat in the back where an infant can lay down and then as they get older they can sit up. When they fall asleep the back seat lays flat so they can get comfortable. That's all you need.

Put yourself in your children's mind, how would they feel sitting in that seat while going to the zoo or to the grocery store?
