I have always been self concious about my body but after I had my kids I actually have more respect for it. Does any one know of anything to help lighten stretch marks.

What can I do next?

What worked best for me is a Mary Kay product called visibly fit. It reduces the appearance of stretch marks, it also helps with spider veins, etc. They also have a new product called cellu-shape to help with the cellulite that also seems to come with being a new mom. I use both and swear by them. Good luck!

I've received laser treatment. There were three rounds of treatment, once a month for three months. The first session was $300, the second $200 and the final was $100. The redness is gone.

PLEASE tell me when you find the secret! :) Actually, I've heard laser technology can lighten the appearance of them but my health insurance wouldn't cover that since it's cosmetic. And of course I won't pay a ton of money out of pocket, I'll just wear a one-piece swimsuit instead of a bikini now!

ok this is going to sound weird, but it works make a mixture with castor oil and baking soda put this on first. In a circular motion. Then wash it off with warm water. Then tone the area with witch hazel(its by the peroxide at the store) after that find some bronzing lotion that has hemp in it-I found some at walmart by the sunscreen for around $8. I used to have bad ones, and now they are all but gone. Hope this helps

Olive oil or V6 oil (a blend of pure vegitable oils) you can get at http://youngliving.com/

After I had the baby I started putting the V6 Oil with few drops of Citrus Fresh Oil on my strech marks (which I have A LOT OF...) *the citrus fresh actually tightens the skin... and the V6 Oil helps lighten the stretch Marks... there is a VERY BIG difference in my stretch marks now... I mean... they are like 5 shades lighter... I have been slacking... but they are still fading day by day...

If you dont want to order anything from http://youngliving.com/- I would suggest at least going on there and reading some of the testimonials... I have one on there about my stretch marks... and the Gentle Baby Oil... that I use to give Meadow a massage before bed and it puts her right out...

If you cant afford anything on there... You can always just use olive oil!

A., My name is J. & I'm an Avon Representative. Avon has come out with a new product over the last 2 months called "Anew Clinical Professional Stretch Mark Smoother". It cost only $25 & it works great. I've even notice the difference. My web site is www.youravon.com/jtharp or you if you have your own Avon Representative, you can contact them.

Mederma!! As your pharmacist if you can't find it. It's over the counter and used to fade scars. I had great luck with it. It will help fade away the marks. I think you use it twice a day, just follow the instructions. It is a bit pricey (about $15), but there are generic brands also. I haven't tried the generics, but the brand name works. It's slow, but give it a couple of months!!! Good luck.

Have you tried Strivectin? I heard it works wonders, but is a bit pricey. I have tried mederma, but I didn't really see much of a difference. If you decide to try Strivectin, let me know how it works for you.

Mederma or the generic brand is what I found to help mine. I was pretty lucky and didn't get the deep stretch marks or any on my stomach. I used the Mererma on my hips for about 6 months and noticed it helped a lot.

If you have stretch marks that are deep, laser treatment might be the only solution to help them.

Tanning will also help hide them, but please don't go fry yourself in the sun or a tanning bed. Use a sunless tanning product and save your skin from skin cancer and sun damage. =)

I used vitamin E lotion and just massaged it on my belly everyday in circular motion up toward the heart, it seemed to lighten mine some, but not by much, I guess depending on how dard they are, mine are only on my lower belly. I heard that none of that cream really works but guess we will try anything right, what works on one may not work on others

Hope that helps

You can read more about it on my website: www.joycesense.com

one of the best things you can use is shea butter, which can be pricey or back in 1985, i used cocoa butter. You must use it on a consistent basis. Good luck! You are young enough that they should go away with age. Remember, our skin looses its elasticity with age and stretches. Go back to school if you can afford to. Take your time and just go at night once or twice a week. You can even take courses on line know.

Congrats on your newly discovered confidence with your body! Becoming a Mom really helped me learn to love my curves as well! I tried the generic brand of Strivectin, I got it at Walgreens. It works ao well! I paid $30 for a large tube. i saw results in just two weeks. I stopped using it after they faded, and I still look good! Good luck!
P.S. I hope that you do go back to school, at least part-time. That will do wonders for your self-confidence as well.

a lot of it depends on genetics as well. my mom got them and used cocoa butter and doesnt have one! i got a few when i was a teenager and the few i got while pregnant are under my breasts and have been there since i got htem as a teenager and they jsut darkened when pregnant. they aren't somewhere where ppl see them. so look at your mom and grandmother, if they still have some chances you will keep them to.

When I hit puberty I doubled my weight and grew several inches in about a year. I had really bad strecth marks which made me htink I was fat even though I was far from it. My grandmother gave me jars of vitamin e cream and it worked wonders! Although time helped too, I swear by it! Aloe works too, get your self a plant (they usually only cost a few dollars for a small one), cut off a small piece and squeeze the gel right onto your stretch marks. The aloe doesn't smell terribly great though. Aloe is also an easy plant to take care of and if you get a sunburn it works great on the burn too!
Hope this helps!

Arbonne has a cellulite system that has worked wonders for me. It has helped not only with the stretch marks, but also with the cellulite around my thighs. I am overweight and I have currently lost quite a bit of weight. This system has just added to my figure.

Lotions with cocoa butter (I liked Palmer's brand) helped lighten mine, but short of laser surgery, nothing will remove them, no matter what they promise. Mine are still not light enough that they aren't noticeable, but it made me slightly less self concious about them.
