I have Straight Talk and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does anyone have or use Straight Talk cell phone service? My husband and I are thinking about changing our service to them because Verizon is ridiculously expensive! I like that they are half price, no contract, etc.
So how is the service? Just as good as the others?
Thanks for any input!

We have 2 kids on it and have never had a minutes trouble with the service or operation of the phones. BUT, if you have to call with any issues, their call center is outsourced to India and the language barrier can be difficult.
If you go with Straight Talk set your bill up on automatic payment so there is no interruption in service.
My BF has it. She's had it for years. We looked at it before we finally went to a 2 yr. contract with Sprint. The problem was they didn't have smartphones. I was going to have to buy one somewhere else, and then buy a sim card through Smart Talk. But get this, 3 weeks after we signed our contract with Sprint, my BF says they NOW sell smartphones for Smart Talk. GRRRRR.
The service depends on the type of phone you get. She had a Verizon phone before and had Verizon's towers. NOw she has ATT's service, and that is better for her area.
She paid $130 for her smartphone 2 days ago. She will pay roughly $95 a month for 2 phones. You do have to make your payments each month to avoid interruptions, and if I remember right, if you pay 5 days ahead of your due date, it will move you up 5 days. So, unless you do it automatically, you have to be careful of what day you pay....you want the day closest to your due date.
Do your research, but I would have preferred to save $50 a month FOR THE SAME service I have!
Also, I had the FAMILY MOBILE plan before through Walmart. It is T-Mobile's service. We would have stayed with them, except T-Mobile service is very weak here. So if T-Mobile is a better service provider in your area, look into that. It was roughly the same price as Smart Talk, and you can buy smartphones via Radio Shack and online.
Good luck! :)
I went with Virgin mobile. We pay $45/month for 1200 min. and unlimited data, text, etc. We have a smartphone and it ran me about $100 for it. LOVE IT.

Sprint/Nextel and it's been FABULOUS!
Three in my family have them. We have not had any issues with the phones or service at all.
