i had more blood work. my dr ordered another blood pregnance test. it came back negative. i have my period, ( well i think it's my period) i still have burning pain in stomach. i had another ct scan and a different kind of xray. i have pain in ribs and feels like something moving around. i had to see my dr for other reasons ( tick in head). i asked about ct scan. he said there are kidney stones on both sides. i asked is there anything unusual, he said no. but then asked if i saw my obgyn dr. i said yes, he asked everything ok. i said yes. Do you think there is something else on ct scan report. he's not telling me? they have to tell me everything good or bad. right? you don't think it'sa fetis that hurting me? please need advice, what do you think is wrong with my stomach. i go back to see a specialist soon.

What can I do next?

1. No, I don't think there's something he's not telling you. Doctors tell patients what they see. If they don't know what they're looking at, they refer you to a specialist who can tell you.

2. Yes, they have to tell you everything. But if that doc doesn't know what he's looking at/for, he's going to refer you to a specialist.

3. No, I don't think it's a fetus. If you had an ectopic pregnancy, your test would come back positive.

4. I have no idea what's causing your pain, but it doesn't sound like it is gynecological. It sounds like a gastrointestinal problem.

You have kidney stones on both sides. That will cause pain and discomfort. Why are you not accepting what the doctors say and thinking that they're not being honest? If you don't trust the doctor then find one that you can trust.

I've had serious abdominal pain that took years to finally diagnose as endometriosis. I suggest that it will take time to figure this out. The first step is learning that you have kidney stones. The next step is dealing with the stones. If you still have pain then the doctor will take the next step in continuing to look for causes.

Why do you say you're not sure you're having a period? You have a bloody discharge from your vagina. It's a period. Accept that. I suggest that you're having pain because you're having your period.

Where is the pain when you say it's in your stomach? Stomach pain in your stomach could indicate indigestion or even an ulcer. Stomach pain in your abdomen is more related to the kidney stones or reproductive issues. Cysts can cause abdominal pain and you've had a CT scan and maybe an ultra sound which has ruled those out.

It sounds like you want to believe that you have a fetus hurting you. I don't understand that at all. Do you want to be pregnant? Are you afraid you're pregnant and don't want to be pregnant? Perhaps it would help if you thought thru why you're insisting that you're pregnant when all tests indicate you're not.

I went back and read previous posts. You've been testing for pregnancy since March. If you were pregnant the tests would show positive by now. You are not pregnant.

I suggest that you're way over thinking this and that you're allowing yourself to dwell on paranoid thoughts. This is not healthy. Take a few steps back and deal with this one step at a time. Accept that the doctors know what they're doing. Stop yourself when you start to think that something else is going on. Take your health one step at a time.

If you're not able to trust your doctors, I urge you to get counseling so that you can deal with your fears.

BTW: You can ask for a copy of the CT report and any other reports that your doctor has. My doctor has sent me copies without my even asking. So, ask for a copy.

And, you would not feel a baby moving around until you were several months pregnant. So what you're feeling is not a baby.

Have you recently visited a planet with eggs that open and squid type aliens attach to your face? Then maybe it laid an egg in your chest cavity and is about to explode out, throw a top hat on and dance with a cane?

no your not pregnant. No I feel you have something else wrong with you, no your doctor doesn't keep life threatening secrets from you in order to not hurt your feelings. How do you KINDA think you have a period? You bleed from your vagina, its a period or you have something else wrong with you in which you need a diagnosis from a competent medical doctor.

As far as guessing whats wrong with you. It would be like spinning the wheel of fortune, and landing on well, anything.

I know this sounds harsh and sarcastic. Its just so amazing to me! Can you clarify what a Tick in your head is? You have a muscle tick? or you had a tick that was sucking your blood?

You are not pregnant - so there is no fetus.
Pain in the ribs area sounds like gall stones to me.
Burning sensation could be ulcer or acid reflux.
Kidney stones can be quite painful (have they detected any blood in your urine?).
Drink plenty of water.
Keep a journal of symptoms - when you feel pains, after eating what, what time of day, etc - and take it with you to your Dr appointments.
It will help your doctor figure out what is going on.

E., are you wanting to be pregnant? And then perhaps insisting that all your symptoms are related to a pregnancy?

Hon, there is no pregnancy, therefore there is no fetus. Could you be having severe gas pains? Bad gas pains can and do mimic 'fetal movement'. If you have a lot of gas passing through your colon, it will actually feel like a fetus kicking you.

If you don't have gas, do you have normal stools? Constipation? Diarrhea? The speed of stool passing through you colon, especially if your experiencing pain from other problems, will also mimic fetal movement.

What does your family doctor say? Do you normally obsess about things? You could have something like IBS: Irritable Bowel Syndrome. And that will cause extended periods of bloating, irregularity in your gut and therefore odd, referred painful sensations.

Honestly, the doctors are not hiding any issues from your medical tests.

Doctors do not hide information from their patients.

However, different tests catch different things, and there are a million tests out there. So, it's possible the doctor hasn't caught everything, but not because he's hiding anything from you.

I would also respectfully suggest a mental health screening. I do NOT mean this as an insult or anything of the kind. This is an important aspect of your health, and just like other health issues, it involves a lot that's treatable. If you pursue this avenue of inquiry, it might get you a lot of relief.

If you have burning pain in your stomach area maybe it is acid reflux or an ulcer.

Why would he hold back information on your ct? That doesn't make sense.

You are not pregnant.

You have kidney stones.

The doctor would tell you if something else was the problem because its his job.

You are not pregnant!!!!

And, no, I don't think they're hiding something...Doctors are really really really good at telling their patients what they see on scans and other tests...this is not a conspiracy.

Good luck

Ask that they send a copy of the report of that Cat scan to your OB/GYN. Maybe you have fibroids that need to come out or soemthing. There are many different things that could be going on that can be easily made better. If your OB/GYn gets the report they can share infomratoin which is best.

No, he's not hiding anything. That's illegal and unethical.

He may not know what it is, only what it isn't. It's not a pregnancy. I don't know why you are insisting that it is. There is no fetus causing the pain or sense of movement. Even a tubal (ectopic) pregnancy would show up as a positive on the pregnancy test and it would show up on the scan. You have no signs of pregnancy, at all. You have negative tests, negative scans, and your period. Your primary care and your ob/gyn say you are not pregnant. So put that idea aside so you can think clearly.

If you WANT to be pregnant, then you have to get rid of whatever this other problem is before you even think of becoming pregnant. So, really, stop focusing on pregnancy.

I'm sure the stress is not helping your stomach issues. If you need a test for kidney stones or gall stones, then get it. Be sure your primary care physician and any other specialists are either in the same "system" so your records are available on computer, or sign releases so that they all can get the other reports.

This issues is way beyond what we can do on Mamapedia. Please seek medical care in the proper specialties.
