Can I get started on a template before I commit and purchase a host? I've used Go Daddy for a previous web site but open to recommendations. thx

not that it matters but I am going to be a food blogger so any suggestions on best templates for that are welcome too. I know I know, another food blogger. I wouldn't do it but my husband is begging me to. We just went plant based and he wants to refer is patients to my blog to help them through the learning curve that we just navigated.

What can I do next?

Honestly, just use Blogspot on Google. It's a free platform and you own your own content. You can upload pictures, etc. I've been using it for about 5 years or so and have had no problems with it. My sister uploads other templates/wallpaper onto hers on blogspot and posts lots of pictures.

I have 2 blogs on blogspot.com, they are free and one is food and recipes. It walks you through it. Good luck.

If you don't mind having your blog include the name of the host, you can do one for free at sites like wordpress.com. You can pay for features you want to add, but the basic framework (which is pretty comprehensive) is free. You can click on my name and my blog is in the profile (I have the Free level).

Good luck!
