Hi L.,
i have a 19 month old son who is also a sweetheart. have you tried the baby oxyclean spray. that stuff works great!
Does anyone have any tips on getting stains out of baby clothes? I have tried pre-treating them (when I know they're there), but I've been noticing yellow-ish stains on the front of a lot of my daughter's shirts after they come out of the dryer. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
L.
Hi L.,

I loved Bye Bye Baby Stains, you can order it at www.onestepahead.com for $10 you get two bottles, one for colors and one for whites.

In a bucket put 1 cup cascade powder (yes dishwasher soap), 1 cup color bleach and fill with hot water. Soak the clothing in there for 12 - 24 hours and then wash as usual. This has taken out a LOT of stains for me and btw I have triplets so there were a lot of stains. lol

I word OXYCLEAN!!!!! This is a miracle worker! Buy the tub of powder, soak her clothes overnight in your washer with HOT water and oxyclean and I swear all the stains will be gone. Any stubborn stains you can make the paste and let it sit for a few hours!
I found this works GREAT on baby poop stains from a breastfed baby, chocolate milk stains, spaghetti sauce. I love it!
Hi L.,
Years ago I bought a product called quick n brite from a vendor at the state fair. I couldnt believe what she was getting out of fairgoers clothes and shoes as they passed by, so I bought some.
They're no longer at the state fair :o( but I order off the internet at http://www.quicknbrite.com/
My second daughter threw up CONSTANTLY until she was about seven months old or so. Even when I thought her clothes were clean, the stains would show later. My testimony for quick n brite comes from using it on a nine year old stain.
I had a beautiful beautiful dress I wanted to give my sister when she had her daughter. I pulled it from the box and was crushed to see the formula stain. I thought hmm, grabbed the quick n brite, rubbed a little of the paste on the stain, rubbed the cloth against itself and rinsed in the sink. GONE.
Take the chance on ordering it. You wont be sorry and if you decide to try it and dont like it, write me and I'll buy it from you.
L. ( no i have no personal interest in this company. i just love the product that much, lol )
spritz them with water and put them out in the sun for a day or 2. sunning pretty much removes any organic stain. works for cloth diaper stains, too, and those can be tough!
my Mom is my Stain MASTER!! She uses Cascade liq dishwasher soap and HOT water than adds clothes in sink and scubs. I buy clothes from Mom2Mom sales and she makes them look BRAND new. I called her for her secert...put tide soap on spot scrub with tooth brush than fill sink with HOT water add Cascade (1/4cup for whites or lights and 1/8 cup for darks) let cascade dessolve and add clothes soak for 2-3 hours and wash. She can get EVERYTHING out (sometimes not chocolate) Good Luck let us know what works for you!!
If they're white; dilute some bleach in COLD water and that should do it ... or if you don't like the idea of bleach, try proxide. Just make sure you wash the clothes really well before you let your daughter wear them again. And if you're into Non toxic cleaning supplies like I am or are allergic to bleach like I am, there are non-toxic bleach alternatives ... you'd have to go to Whole foods market or something similar to get them though.
I have found that if I soak my sons cloths in hot water and oxiclean over night most of the time the stains come out
Whatever I can't get out through the wash, I line dry in the sun. I've had many stains completely disappear after hanging outside all day that I couldn't get out after several rounds of treating with detergent and staintreatments.
I make a paste with oxyclean and water. I ususlly apply it and let it sit over night, then launder as usual. I would be carefull with colors but on whites it works great.
If it is formula stains that will leave a yellow if you don't get it totally out. There is a stain remover called totally toddler usually found in the baby area of any store......that always worked good for me. What I have found also is if I spray the stained area and then soak it in water before washing that helps
Good luck! Those are tough stains :)
When my first little one was born, a friend introduced me to "Totally Toddler", a spray stain remover. When I notice stains on bibs, shirts, and burp cloths, I just spray them and throw them in the hamper. (I keep this spray handy, on a high shelf in the nursery). You can find this at Babies R Us, Toys R Us, and Kmart. It really works!!!
Good Luck!
I agree with the totally toddler suggestion. If I put this on the stain, let it sit, and then scrub it with a denture toothbrush before I put it in the wash, the stains always come out! Good luck!
toddler spray works great! ;You can find it at babys-r-us.
I know it may sound strange, but denture cleaner tablets get out most food stains. Wet the stain, rub the tablet into it and let it stay there for a bit then wash as normal. The blue or green color from the tablet (usually the mint) comes right out!
Get an old remedy. A bar of Fells naptha soap. Not sure how to spell. It's larger than most soaps white wraper with red & green lettering I think. Found in the laundry deterget area I believe. Wet area rub some of the bar soap on it. Works good for white shirt under arm area as well. Pam Ruth
Hi L.!
I have come to love shout! You just spray it on and throw it in the washer, and 9 out of 10 times you have nothing to worry about! I love it, it is a big time saver too. I have heard good things about shout advance with set in stains, but I have not tried it myself. Good Luck.
Stick them in your sink with some warm water and a little oxyclean to soak overnight. Then wash like normal but check to be sure the stain is really gone before drying. If you can still see it a little, try soaking more or laying it in the sun to dry.
Hi i found that baby oxy clean in the spray is the only thing that gets stains out. of course there are some things i could get out, only a few because i have to go somewhere to do laundry so i can't always get it done right away but i do usually spray the stain with this as soon as it happens and then again right before i put it in the washer. the only place i've been able to find this is the babies r us stores. now there is a baby oxy clean in a powder that i have seen like at kroger stores but it has to sit for a long time so i suggest the spray. hope this helps.
