S.T.
I'm 5'3" and while i don't generally like capris, i did find some cute ones at kmart and target that were just bleow the knees and fit nicely.
I was disappointed last summer when I realized that I'm starting to get spider veins on the back of my legs. I'm trying not to be self concious about them, but still adjusting.....
I would like to wear capris this spring/summer to help cover up the spider veins, but still stay cool in the warmer months. My only issue is that most regular sized capris are a bit too long for me and they end up almost as long as pants anyway so they're still too hot to wear. I would like to find capris that are just below the knee.
I'm 5 ft 4 inches, so just on the edge of being petite (for length). I can sometimes find petite capris that I like, but the style selection is usually very limited. I wear Misses size 6 or size 8.
I was wondering if anyone is around my height and has found capris that are just below the knee.
Any suggestions on brands or stores that sell stylish capris for an almost petite size?
Thanks much!!
Thanks so much to everyone for the feedback!!
I'm happy to say that I found 2 (one denim/one black) Bermuda type shorts that go just at my knee and some capris that go just below my knee. I really like these. I found these at Fashion Bug. They're not petite, but they were at the length I was looking for.
I had already shopped at Kohl's prior to my post and didn't find anything there. Lots of capris, but all too long. I also tried Target today, but all the capris were too long too.
At JC Penney's there is a pair of Liz Claiborne's that I found online that look like they might work too. I'm hoping to get to the store to try them on.
Also, Chico's has a Bermuda short that might work. I found them online and plan to go to the store to try them on.

I'm 5'4" as well and I have found them at penny's, kohls, and my favorite old navy!! I have found them at aero (too small) and american eagle (those ones are comfy but a little spendy).
Bermuda shorts may be what you are looking for. They tend to fall below the knee.
I am a lot shorter than you, but I have found nice capris at Ann Taylor Loft.
I am 5'3 so like to wear the capris that come right to the knee. I have found them in lots of the boutique type stores. Also I think Downeast outfitters carries them. They have an online site you can order from.
I'm a size 8 and 5' 4" as well. I've never had luck ever. So I'm interested in this as well. All I've found is to buy ones I like and tailor them. I can do it myself but if not you can take them to one. You can call around your town or even look in the paper. You can usually get it done for not that much. Then the world is your oyster as to what you can buy style wise.
Old Navy (and other stores, I'm sure) sell "pedal pushers," which are just what you describe. The are longer than bermuda shorts, but shorter than what we generally describe as capris. They usually hit just below the knee.
I love Old Navy. I buy most of my summer stuff there. And if you give them your email address, they send soooo many coupons it's ridiculous. I save a fortune when I shop there.
Good luck! I hate my legs also and refuse to wear anything but capris in the summer.
Hello!
I'm not your height but I recommend going to Old Navy.com. You can find several different length shorts and different styles. A lot of them have reviews written by customers on how they fit them. I just did all of my summer shopping there (for really cheap too.)
Best of luck...I can't stand those darn spider veins, I was blessed with them at a very young age and they don't get any better as you get older that's for sure.
Honestly I'm 5' 2" and fold up capris or I buy bermuda shorts. Every pair of bermuda shorts I buy are either below the knee or above the knee, so it's hit and miss. I shop anchor blue, jcpenney, and downeast outfitters.
I've been gone on vacation, so I'm sorry for the late response. I am about the same size as you and I find most of my capris and bermuda shorts at Sam's Club (try the smallest size which is 4 or 6?) and Maurices.
