Hello Everyone!

I first want to say thank you again for all the responses I received from my first question (42 & prego again)
My question today is has anyone experienced moderate (enough to wear a thin maxi) spotting at this stage of pregnancy? I am in my 8th week now and this started in the middle of the night on Fri. it is now Tues. My dr. had me do a HCG test yesterday and I wont know the results until Wed/Thurs. I have been told that as long as its not brite red that I should be ok. As with any new pregnancy there comes concerns, and I do have my faith in God. Just would like some feedback and COMFORT! from all of you moms.
Thanks!

Spotting is always scary. I've had experience with spotting during the 1st trimester. This last time we think it was due to an "absorbed twin." This is where there is a second embryo that is fertilized and multiplying but doesn't implant. It all stopped by the end of the trimester and the other embryo was absolutely fine. Today, I have a beautiful 4 month old son! Stay positive and follow the advice of your OB. You'll be in my prayers.

P.S. I'm an older mom too.

I spotted with both of my children from about 6 weeks until I was about 10 weeks. It was enough to wear a thin panty liner and was was a pinkish brown. My doctor pulled told me not to worry about it as long as it was not bright red...he also pulled me from work for about a week my first one, however with the second he pulled me for the entire pregancy due to other complications. Hipe this helps...my prayers are with you.

(((hugs))) do you still feel pregnant? I had brown spotting and it ended up in a missed miscarriage. I also spotted in my second pregnancy for 3 months and I was fine. Really examine yourself and if you still feel pregnant you are probably okay, if you don't feel pregnant, then hopefully you have a good OB that won't let things drag out.
