Does anyone know of a doctor or clinic that offers the MMR vaccine split into separate doses? I asked the county health dept. and they said they dont do it and my doctor said that they only rarely get the doses split, so it just depends what they get at the time. Also, they tell me you have to pay for the separate vaccines out-of-pocket. whatever, i'll wait and/or pay, i think it's worth it just in case, but now i've just got to find someone who offers it! any advice?

What can I do next?

We started seeing Dr. Fang-Patrick in Miramar and she is GREAT...very accommodating with splitting vaccines however you choose to do so.

You may want to try Dr. Linda Adames - Colon. She is a holistic pediatrician in Coral Springs and works with Dr. Richard Presutti. ###-###-####.

Good luck.

Hey H.! :0)

I have spoken to my ped about it. She understands my feelings and has never tired to sway my views and I know you and I have some of the same feelings about it from talking at Nova back when our sons were 6 weeks old. She is willing to split them up and wait as long as I would like to give them to him. Her name is Dr. Neustater ###-###-#### She is in a building right out side of holy cross hospital. However we never spoke about costs??? now I am courious about that but at the same time like you I am willing to pay. Hope this helps!

Hi H.,
I don't know anyone who will split it, but I did wait until my son was 3 before I let him receive it. I would have waited longer, but they said he would need a booster anyway. I have refused others as well with no arguements from my pediatrician.
Good luck,
S.

Hi, H.. Is there a particular reason why you want to split up the MMR? If you're thinking that your baby won't have as strong a reaction to each separate vaccine, you may be right, but you will want to ask your pediatrician about that. My philosophy is that as long as baby needs all three, I would do them at the same time, let baby get a little under the weather just once for all three, and then you don't have to make him uncomfortable (and yourself!) three times.
