Zumba! I go once a week, and it fills my need (kinda) to go dancing. My daughter and I walk every day (unless it's rainy), and I also like the p90X ab ripper.
I have been sticking to my New Years Resolution of getting back in shape, and I would love to hear what workout dvds, websites etc. that you ladies like best.
My favorites are: Turbo Jam, Yoga Journal levels 1 and 2, Stretch Max and Core Max with Cathe Freidrich. I usually jog and hula hoop several times a week and I have also found some effective excercise demos on the fitness pages of Pinterest.
Least favorite: Anything Jillian Michaels, I have tried 4 of her dvds and just cannot handle her personality.
Any suggestions on great dvds or sites with workouts that you love?
Oooh, Amanda, I like Rodney Yee, too. I tries the JM Yoga Meltdown and turned it off within 5 minutes! I get what you are saying about her not being fake chirpy, but something about her reminds me of the mean gym teacher, and it just makes me defiant! "Work harder, you say?! Ha! I have the remote! Off you go! Now I am gonna go eat a donut! Jerk!"
Thanks for all the suggestions, and keep em coming. I am going to look into Turbo Fire since I have really liked Chalean Johnson. :)

Turbo Fire by Chalene Johnson and the Beach Body crew is by far my #1 favorite forEVER!! Runner up would be P90X... after that, anything that includes taking walks with my family, swimming, or when the husband and I get some alone time ;)
The Slim in Six weeks dvd! I have worked out with a trainer before after baby number 3 and that experience gave me a new body that only lasted for less than 3 months due to my non commitment and the cost.
1. A personal Trainer
2. DVD
3. Live strong calorie counter web site.
There is another web site I like better but I have to find it.
I love Tae Bo! It gets all my daily frustrations out, plus I find Billy Blanks really motivating. He does yell at you though!
I use my Wii fitness board alot.
I have 2 daugthers under the age of 2. S I dont have much time to actually work out, not like I would. Lol! I do yoga, and running, and some random tummy workouts that are offered. I do it 1once a day morning for 1 1/2hr an a long walk/run before bed. An I can say that I still did it will I was pregnant, except the tummy workouts. An I didnt gain extra weight, an I lost the little weight that I did gain in a wk. My New husband complains now 'cuz he say im not suppose to exercise will being pregnant. But my Dr. said it was good if it was so much.
You should try the Wii Fitness with the board. It keeps track of your workout an what you did an counts how many calories you burn an how long youve been workn out. It also stops an reminds you every hr if you workout up an hr to drink water an maybe take a break. :-) An its not alot of work. Its really easy, I got use to it 2wks an I started slow, like working out every otherday but If I was achie the next day Id wait another day.
ZUMBA!!!!
Belly Dance
Yoga
Kick Box
I like to take classes at the gym. They push me harder than I would push myself. And I can walk on the treadmill 10 minutes before and after every class to maximize the benefit. Lots of variety and free child care. You can't beat it.
I have been using the Pink Method for about 3 weeks and love the change in lifestyle! The workout portion has three phases - I'm only on phase 1 and have so enjoyed it. There's a cardio workout (20 mins), so on days I don't have a ton of time, I do just that one and then I can add either Strength-push or pull, which are each 20 minutes. The Phase 2 main workout is 30 minutes and their are bonus workouts as well. I don't see getting bored for a long, long time!
Ashtanga yoga, dance
I love jillians personality.....shes not sickeningly chirpy like other trainers.
My favorite dvds are.....
-yoga meltdown- JILLIAN micheals..........7:^]
-10 minute solutions pilates (rapid results)
-Trouble zones- Jillian micheals
-Yoga burn- Rodney yee
Turbo fire is awesome. It is a little more advanced than turbo jam and helps pick things up a little bit if your body is used to the current exercises you are doing. The music is pretty good to.
