My favorite are all the silly memes that people post. Especially the drinking ones when I am stuck at work. For some reason that makes me smile. :) I like to smile at work.
I love FB. I mean, sure there's some annoying things, but you just roll your eyes and keeep on scrollin'.
I REALLY love pictures of other people's kids. Especially babies. And dogs! Cannot get enough of the dog pictures.
One thing I wish THIS site had, I'd love to be able to see y'all, you know?
I really hate talking on the phone, always have. So it's really nice to see personal news of extended family and friends, things I wouldn't otherwise know.
My kids are mostly grown up now, I have a pretty quiet life. I think if it weren't for FB, I'd have slipped into obscurity and fallen off the edge of the earth.
FB gets a bad rap most times. So is there ANYthing ANYone actually likes about it, like me?
:)

Really.... you love FB.... I had no idea........... 0_0
I agree pics of kids. Peoples homes as well. Dogs too.
how funny... I was thinking this question as I was going to pick Grady up from his puppy play date...yeppers...my dog gets play dates...
I love jokes and things that make me laugh - hence my posting "My Funny for the day"...
Love to pictures of family, friends and their pets...many things to love about facebook...and yep...there are downsides too. oh well..thems the breaks.
I looooove the pictures! Kids, pets, vacations, selfies. Even when people re-post pictures of random pretty things (scenery, random stuff off of Pinterest).
I get a lot of my news from Facebook - I've "liked" several pages that routinely share news articles and the like.
The "I F(*&*^ Love Science" page - they are constantly posting GREAT content related to all facets of science. I learn something new every day.
I actually enjoy when my friends post links to political or other interest-group stuff. Even if I disagree with their viewpoint, it's still interesting to me to see what people think about different topics.
All the little, random status updates from my friends. Most of them live far away from me, and like you, I'm not great about keeping in touch via phone. FB keeps me connected with my favorite people, even if we don't talk all the time.
And last but not least - the MMP page! ;)
I like the kid/baby pictures too. I like to have a glimpse into other peoples families - like being able to see the first day of school pics in the driveway, and happy faces under Christmas trees, and children making snow angels and babies just being cute babies! :)
i love most of it, the photos, the drama, the inspiring posts, the funny ones, the cute anecdotes from peoples kids/dogs/loved ones i love, I LOVE stories and photos from public transportation. i miss living in Philly and nothing brings the nostalgia back like a photo of a drunken clown eating chinese food on the bus while begging for money=)
You know what I like about it? People like you!
Oh, and sure, the kid and dog pictures and stuff :-)
I like posts that give me ideas of where to go and what to do. Fun activities and outings, great vacation spots, good restaurants, movies, tv shows or recipes worth making. I also like post about personal news or big events in the lives of friends that I may not be in regular contact with. I really enjoy some of the meme's that go around. Some are so clever and make me laugh. I haven't had any bad experiences with fb.
I like keeping in touch with my family back east. Somedays it feels as if i chat with them daily. It is just nice.
I also like those funny ecards.
great question
many blessings :)
Best updates are from friends who are working on big things (weight loss, grad program, certifications, etc) and use facebook to post updates on progress and results. What a great tool for encouragement!!
I like seeing the announcements people have, engagements and new pregnancies and whatnot, especially old high school/college friends who I have great memories with and was close to at one point in life, but am not currently quite close enough to to have gotten a personal announcement email or something. Still great to hear about these things!
I have to say though, facebook did take a lot of the fun out of my 10-year high school reunion. Everybody already knew what everyone looked like, what jobs they had, where they lived, who had married who, how many kids everyone had, what their names were, etc. Just a lot of chatting about current stuff, no exciting "catching up on the last 10 years".
I love pictures of people's children. I do NOT like pictures of people's dogs or of their food. In fact, I really hate pictures of people's food. Every once in awhile, there is a great pic of a dog or food, I get that, but most of the time - no.
Because I am not religious, I don't like seeing bible verses or "praise God" types of posts. I get that this helps some people, but it's not for me. I don't mind people asking for prayers though.
I love reading funny things that kids said or did. I love pictures of vacations and hearing about the cool places you got to go.
I don't like check-ins at restaurants. I don't care where you're eating lunch.
I don't like people that post 10 times a day, especially if they only post those ecards that are so popular now (though sometimes I think those are funny)
I love seeing what people are out doing with their kids, families, friends, etc. I like when reading your post makes me wish I could be in your shoes. I love reading about people's accomplishments or the nice things that people do for each other.
I love to see what people are up to! Especially people from high school and college, where I otherwise would never know. And I have a lot of humorous friends and family posting funny stuff All the Time.
Love this "just roll you eyes and keep on scrollin'..." Totally!
Yes, I do like it too. I know my father, 62 enjoys it a lot as well. My kids, teenagers think it's for old people, but that is fine with me.
I'm still a farmville farmer and love it. That is the only game I do play, but I'm from the mid-west and grew up on a farm and now live in Dallas area.
Many good things have come from FB for me: reconnecting with old friends that I haven't talked to in ages, keeping in steady contact with my family that lives out of state (and there are a ton of us), my God parents found me after not seeing or talking to them in 19 years (I will admit though, when my God Father sent me a private message, asking for my parents names and saying he carried a baby picture of me in his wallet, I was a little freaked out, but through confirmation from my mom, I learned he really was my God Father, I was 7 the last time I had seen him) and being able to share the joys of motherhood (I have a 7 year old boy, 17 year old step son, 19 year old step daughter and 36 year old husband- I count him as one of the kids most day).
I'm a huge fan of random facts and trivia and I can spew them out at you all day long. So aside from the random posts of pics and funny stories, or accomplishments of my kids, my daily post is a random fact, or whatever weird holiday it is that day. If I miss a day, I have people that text, email or post on my wall, that they need their daily trivia- LOL.
In my area, we also have selling sites for everything imaginable. It's a giant garage sale on FB basically and I love them. I have bought some great things on the pages for super cheap and I have sold some things too that I just needed to get rid of.
I also do crafts in my spare time so I post "How To's" and pictures of the latest craft I'm working on.
But even with all the fun stuff, there is still the bad stuff- finding out my sisters husband was cheating on her, finding out my great grandfather, who lived in Colorado, passed away, before any of the family had called to tell us. And the stupid food pics and work out posts- LOL.
Like you said, just roll your eyes and keep scrolling for that stuff =)
