I cook it in the micro by slicing it in half and covering it with saran wrap in a class dish. Then I scrap out the insides(though take the seeds out before cooking). I like to make it with butter, salt, pepper and parm cheese. SOOO good.

Dear AF-

I have BIG kids...and big eaters...so I make spaghetti 'boats'!

Slice squash in half length wise...sprinkle salt, pepper, and maybe some olive oil...roast in oven...when done, I 'scrape' the 'noodles' away from the sides...and put some home made meat sauce on (chesse optional)...

that and some toasted garlic bread...and YUM!

They each like their 'own' boat (of course they are 14 and older...)

Enjoy!

I've had this recipe bookmarked for about a week, but haven't made it yet. It sounds delicious: http://www.foodbuzz.com/blogs/2796263-spaghetti-squash-wi...

You can also simply toss the squash with pasta sauce, sauteed spinach, and maybe some chickpeas? Just think of it as regular pasta and see what you come up with!

My husband is diabetic and cannot eat pasta........until discovering spaghetti squash. However you use pasta, make the same dish but substitute spaghetti squash for pasta. We love it!

It had no flavor of its own, so anything you want to flavor it with is up to you. I've used spaghetti sauce on it, cheese sauce..... or throw it into a stirfry. It's good for ya but oh so bland ;)

My family loves it with pasta sauce and turkey meatballs. Last time I made homemade meatballs but used jarred sauce. It was great.

I cut it in half, put it cut side down in a microwavable dish with some water and cover. cook until soft. Then scrape it away and mix with tomato sauce and top with parm cheese. Somethimes I top with shrimp or scallps sauteed with garlic and then add crushed tomatoes and herbs/spices like basil, oregano, crushed red pepper and pour that over the spaghetti squash. Enjoy.
