I sent out a similar message asking the same thing but got no response. I would be interested in the playgroup
I'm looking for a play group for my 2 1/2 year old daughter. I would like Play dates, weekly park days, scheduled activities & events on Chicago's South Side (Ashburn, Beverly, South Suburbs). Does anyone know of a established play groups or anyone interested in starting a group?

Y.,
I live in Beverly and am also looking for a playgroup in the area. Maybe we can get together sometime. My son is 13 mths old (will be 14 in a week). I also am a member of a moms group, but it is on the northside. If you're interested, the addy is www.moms.meetup.com/410. The name of the group is Chicago Moms in the City.

Hi! We probably have a lot in common. I also work in the construction industry. The best part about it is the hours. With that in mind, check out www.chicagoparkdistrict.com They have a ton of activities at park districts right in your neighborhood for kids your age and they are not very expensive. I have an 18 mos. that will start swimming and gynastics in April. And it only cost me $50 for 8 weeks (2x a week).
I would love to start a play group. I have three sons, one 7.5. and 2.5. I'm not sure if you wanted a play group with boys, but we would definately love to be a part. You can email me directly at ____@____.com.
Y.,
I just joined a play group in Beverly. We haven't even met yet (first date is next week). Would you like the moderator's info). Its called Mother's and Company.

Recent transplant to the city from the 'burbs. Mom of a 2 year old boy, with #2 due this fall!
Hi Y., Mocha Moms are starting a chapter in Beverly they meet once a month. If you are thinking about establishing your own group let me know, I have a daughter that's two years old, I'm a stay at home mom. Carlotta Passmore
If you get a play group going let me know. I also have a 2 year old girl and would love to get involved. I live in Oak Lawn in an apartment so my space is limited, but I'd love to be able to have my daughter around other kids her age 9 (and let me meet some moms too!!)
I am wondering the same thing. My son is 2 1/2 also and I am unable to find anything. MOPS has a yearly fee(which I do not like). We do story time at the library once a week(free) and try different activities through the park district. When it gets nice we do the zoo 1-2 times a week. I hope you get some ideas as I will be watching for them.
