I know this one sounds crazy, but my child is allergic to chicken eggs and a host of other things. I've got to find some duck eggs so I can make him some "normal" food. Does anyone know of a source for them. Preferably a local Texas farmer. I am in Grapevine, Texas. I'm willing to order from out of state if necessary though.
Thank you all so much for your help. No, I didn't get the duck eggs...I did find SOME on the internet, but have just tried other things in baked goods instead of eggs. We are going to try some homeopathic remedies to try to desensitize him from some of his allergies so that eggs won't be a problem anymore. Thank you all so much for your help. I did find Sprouts. The asian grocery stores down on Beltline & Josey have duck eggs. Not sure if they have them all the time. But I have seen them.
Why not ask at the Farmer's Market in Grapevine? There's still one there each week I think. I bet there is someone closer.
Also, what about the egg substitutes? If he's allergic to those too I guess it wouldn't help. But it's a thought. Good luck!
We are new to Texas, just moved from Seattle. But there I found duck eggs at our local Whole Foods Market. They are seasonal, and difficult to find in winter. If you are near a Whole Foods or other natural market that sells produce/dairy, try inquiring. Good luck!

I work with a gentleman here in Lewisville by the name of Todd Keller ####-###-####, he raises chickens and ducks and sells their eggs. I have gotten a few duck eggs in my carton of chicken eggs and would never know the difference, other than shell color and thickness. His eggs are very reasonable and fresh. Good Luck, L.
