Ladies, I am having a hard time relaxing. I am so stressed about bills, and finding a job. I don't know how to relax. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I take a hand towel and soak it in hot water , ring it out and lay it on my face after several breaths I soak it again and put it on my shoulders. I feel refreshed and relaxed after it.

Some days I do this several times. It depends on how the kids are acting.

Good luck!

I've been like this all my life (72)
because of COPD I took therepy
To shut off my anxiety . .I breathe in thru my nose deeply filling til my tummy is full, lifting my shoulders . . .very slowly blow it out feeling the relaxing in the body as I do! Drop your shoulders, drop it all off, Let your body go limp usually 3-4 times calms you down

giving it to the Lord helps too

Ask for favour with God and man before each stressful task, or application, SMILE at yourself in the mirror, and find something funny

I'm in the same boat! After the birth of my daughter I did not return to work. My plan was to be home for a year then return to work. I never dreamed in my lifetime I would not be able to find a job. Watching the bills pile up with no job in sight is extremely stressful. I try to find the positive in my situation which is spending my time at home with my beautiful daughter. I feel that everything in life happens for a reason and maybe right now being at home with her is the most important thing. The bills will get paid when they get paid! I continue to search on a daily basis for a job and I know when the time is right, I will find one. Just stay focused on the positive things in your life. It will all work out in the end! :)

Try yoga -- it's wonderful. It's funny but relaxing -- knowing how to get yourself in a calm state -- takes practice. The more you do it, the better you'll get at it. Good luck! Know that you are not alone in this stress thing!

I know for me that prayer, a really good vitamin B supplement and lots of sleep all help. Also the support of family and friends and conquering whatever it is that is stressing me by making strides, bit by bit - it gives hope. Other than that, sometimes it is a necessary evil that will pass and a lesson is learned ... it just really sucks in the meantime!

For me, prayer works. I learned a long time ago that if I needed something, I gave that thing away.. so if you need money, give to a charity, donate your time. Nothing helps you realized you are blessed than helping someone less fortunate than you.. Read the book of Malachi in the bible(last book in old testament). FOcus on Malachi 3:10 where GOD says tryhim and see that he won't open the windows of heaven... Remember, seed, time and harvest. Tithing is the key. God's speed.

Are you exercising? Do you use a to do list? I went through an excellent coaching program that helped me tremendously with time management and stress. Make a list of things you want to do and things you have to do. Look at it 3 times a day. At the end of the day check off the things you did to give you a sense of accomplishments. Then, redo your list for tomorrow, again with the things you have to do versus the things you would like to do. It really is amazing how this helps with stress. You don't have to worry about what needs to be done because you know it's on your list. You could put tasks related to your job search on there as well as finances. If you want my coaches name he would give you a introductory call.
don't stress! it will work out in the end. what kind of work do you do?
I have a home business that brings me some great extra money if you have ever wanted to own your own business let me know and I can tell you about mine.
take care of yourself!!

Have you at all considered a job in sales that you could work as you want and as needed? Are you into health food, vitamins, etc.? I know two companies right now that you could work for and make money right away..and I don't work for either..but if you are interested I can pass on your name to my friends in the various businesses. Or have them email you more info.

As for the stress...think prosperous thoughts and you will be prosperous! Hang in there!

YOGA and meditation work like a charm. I practiced Dahn Yoga and still do some of it. It helps a lot. There is a product called Natural Calm which is a magnesium supplement you can make lie a hot tea and drink before bed that will relax you as well. Make sure you try and eat balanced and take some extra vit. C (B-vitamins & D3 also) to help your body. Echinacea is good for a little while as is Elderberry extract and colloidal silver if you think you are getting sick.

B-complex...make sure it is complex. If you take only one of the b's it will rob your body of the other Bs as it will pull all from your body since it has to work in a complex form(all b's together. Also Shaklee stress releif complex has been a blessing for our stressful life!

Sincerly,

I do one of a few things to relax.
1) sit in a comfortable corner with a book I haven't read in a long time or one I've been meaning to read. it lets me get away from my own situation even if it's just for a little while.

2) play a video game that involves kicking butt. If you've got a Wii, Wii sports boxing is a great one, and it exercises you.

and
3) I paint , painting relaxes me more than anything else.
