Is he congested? Maybe he has a bug? How long has this been going on? We know our bodies better then anyone even at 9 months old. If he doesn't feel well he may not want to eat. If you force him you may end up with a sick stomach. If he goes longer then 48 hours I would take him to the pediatrician. If he is congested he may be avoiding eating in order to breath. Have you recently started any new foods? Sometimes it takes longer to break the new stuff down and he may feel fuller. Good luck!

He may have an ear infection. He also may have a sore throat. Try giving him some tylenol (to help with the pain) then he may eat. If he is in pain, he may not eat because it hurts too much. We do the same thing, we may just drink warm broth when our throat hurts.

is he sick? is he teething? Will he take fluids? Will he suck on some ice with a teething net or you can feeze his formula into cubes. You don't want him to get dehydrated. How long has he been like this?

Is he sick? Perhaps a sore throat? A baby won't starve themself...they will eat when they're hungry. Perhaps he's just slowed down in his growing for now and doesn't have an appetite?
