Soccer Tots or Lil' Sluggers for a 2 Yr Old?

My son is 2 years and 8 months, and we are trying to decide on Soccer Tots or Lil Sluggers for him. We are in Grapevine, and would probably go to Southlake, or perhaps American Indoor Sports on Carrollton. My son is pretty advanced for his age (a proud mom!). He has never been in a class before (he has been in daycare though), and he is our first, so we are open to other suggestions also!
Thank you

Dear C.,

I don't have a response to your request but have a son in the same age as yours and want to enroll him in soccer too. I have the same questions you have. If you get any good responses, can you please let me know so I can decide which program to choose from.

Thanks so much!

We started Soccer Tots w/ our young 2 year old and dropped after 2 weeks b/c it was more work for me. At that age it's parent-assisted and some get it and do well and others, my son, didn't want to participate in the activity. He wanted to throw the ball in the air, kick it in the opposite direction asked, and not cooperate. We were grateful they refunded our money.

However you said your son is advances for his age, then it should be a good fit. The Soccer Tots program is great and we loved the coach (an SMU grad student). Our older son (3 yo) did stay in and loved it. (We went to the one at Sole Roll near the Galleria.)

I hope that helps!

It is a Mommy and Me class so you will be helping him. I started Soccertots with my youngest son right before he turned 2. Your going to have to give it more than 2 weeks; 2 classes. He will catch on! And it's so cute to see them kick the ball. It's just like anything else - He has to learn what to do...and then he will do it! I did it for a year with my oldest and Im on the 3rd Mommy and me session with my youngest. We enjoy it!
