i have a very hard time with weight. counting calories never worked, skipping meals sure didnt work. i was eating healthy and walking three miles almost every day. my parents saw me trying so hard and skipping my favorite deserts and sent me to a specialest. basically its an adkins based diet for me. all the blood work and tests that were done showed my body cannot handle breads, rice, potatoes. so i basically eat LEAN meats,(turkey, fish, chicken, and some pork...i do drool over bacon) I also eat mostly green veggies low in sugars , some nuts (no peanuts or sunflowers) and I only eat an apple a few times a week. bananas turn to sugar in my body quickly. taking vitimans and healthy oils, drink plenty of water and some green tea (decaf). I also take a calcium plus vitiman D. exercise for 20-30 (walking) a day and I lost 80 lbs over a year. Then gained it all right back with both pregnancies because main streem doctors werent sure if it was healthy for the baby to eat such a restricted diet. but i never felt healthier in my life. while my diet was way scaled back then most it was what made me healthy. you are what you eat. even if you think your being healthy it might be too much for your system to take. **** didnt matter if i was on bc or not...this diet close to an adkins diet worked for me.**** when i was very young i was allergic to a lot of food...the above diet is what i ate to not break out or swell up. i out grew the hives but the fat built up and as an adult...that is the same basic diet i needed now too.
I asked the same question a long time ago. I got a lot of "yes" answers, but, no. It wasn't easier to lose the weight.
Weight loss= Calories in < Calories out. End of story.
Unless there's some sort of underlying medical condition, of course.
No, it won't be easier. It has to do with your entire lifestyle and underlying health issues. Being off the pill is healthier for many, many reasons, but weight loss isn't really one of them. Weight won't just melt off. It's going to take effort on your part.
Also, don't sneeze at "only" 18 pounds. It's still 18 pounds and you're not on The Biggest Loser. The results they get on that show, losing 10 lbs or more a week, are atypical and not healthy for the average person.
