my little boy will be turning one soon and I am wanting to take some smash cake pics. Does anyone know a reasonably priced photographer/studio and where I could find a cute little outfit for him like diaper cover/tie/hat locally. Thanks for any help.

You can go to Portrait Innovations. They have a great $9.99 package! I think they will also do them at Target. As for the outfit .. they have some at Carters and Babies R Us but you'll find the cutest ones at etsy.com if you have time to order!
I echo Target. But I think you have to bring your own sheet/material, etc for the cake to land on. That is where I did my youngest's first year photos and they asked me when I booked if I'd be doing the "smash" pic.
Portraite Inovations. What you will want to do is go buy a clear shower curtain to take with you. They will do the pics and this will keep there studio clean. ALso, you will want a white cake, chocalate cakes look like dirt in the pics. i did this with my oldest and the pictures were so awesome.

We had a photographer at the FW botanical gardens....dressed him up in just jeans and a white t-shirt. They turned out adorable. I wish I could give you our very reasonable photographers info, but she recently moved :(
