Dear T.,
I’ve never tried Slim Quick but I’ve tried a lot of weight loss plans over time.
The way I feel about these meds is that if they were successful, everyone would be on it.
I did have a lot of success with a plan started by my doctor. Dr. McCoy is a family practice MD who has an “After Hours” clinic near AGH hospital. He found that a good portion of the ailments his patients complained of was related to obesity. He decided to treat his patients’ obesity and found that he could decrease the amount of blood pressure pills, back pain pills, insulin etc. he was prescribing for them.
His plan was so successful that he started a weight loss clinic. Here is the website.
weightlosssolns.com
I lost 50 lbs and my husband lost 80 lbs. On the website, he lists all his clients as a number instead of a name so you can see how many have been successful. Since I got off the diet, I’ve gained about 15 lbs. It was SUPPOSED to be a life style change, I’ve not stayed on the exercise, and I enjoy cake and cookies too much. I have a female friend who lost 100 pounds on it! She was a real go-getter.
Dr. McCoy is very kind, and caring. I’m blessed to have him as my doctor. I tend to promote his clinic every chance I get because he saved my husband from a gastric bi-pass, which was the next step if this diet didn’t work.
His diet is for people with an overweight range when their BMI is calculated. (There’s a link to a BMI calculator on his website.) This is not for someone who wants to lose 5-10 pounds before an engagement.
Good luck in whatever you choose to do, T..
A., RN
