Hi Moms, my son will soon be in size 7 Pampers. At night he wears size 6 overnights and I have been adding "feminine liners" inserts, but he is leaking too consistently. He is only 17 mos old and I am not so sure about putting him in pull ups for nighttime. Are they really absorbent enough? Any moms out there with a baby in size 7 diapers who can recommend what size to use in Underjams? I find the weight guidelines posted on the package aren't so helpful for me.
For about a week I tried Huggies during the day and thought they fit oddly. Are there many Pampers babies out there that have success with Huggies for nighttime?
At this point, I am going to look for a diaper doubler and add it to a regular size 7. But if people feel strongly about using Huggies or Underjams, I will go for it. I appreciate any feedback I can get as it gets expensive trying out diapers.

Thank you so much for the recommendations. I am going to try Huggies overnights first, but I am glad to have ideas on what inserts or cloth diapers to use, because I think he will be in cloth diapers down the road.
UPDATE : What is working for me now is size 6 Huggies overnights. He is still in size 6 Pampers during the day. I thought he would be moving up to a 7 soon, but looks like we have some time before he gets there. * Whew*.
It is true, the Huggies Overnights have a very different fit from the other Huggies, I never would have guessed.
I also find Huggies to be a funny fit for my kids (I have 2-year old twins). However, I will use Huggies night-time diapers and have had no issues with them. Also, just a side note.... I recently cut back on the amount of fluids I am giving them before bed. Maybe you could try this too as it will be helpful when it comes to potty training time! Best wishes :)
You could try either switching to cloth diapers (fuzibunz come in extra large) or just adding microfiber drifters. Cottonbabies.com is a good source.
Hi there. Huggies regular diapers don’t work for us, but Huggies Overnights are totally different. My son wears a size smaller in Overnights though--- we are currently in size 6 for daytime diapers and size 5 for Overnights. Our daytime diapers are the BJs brand. They are amazing. I've actually had better luck with them than Pampers. Huggies Overnights are definitely worth a try! Good luck!
I also reccommend cloth diapers like Fuzzi Bunz (http://www.fuzzibunzseconds.net/store/Default.asp) I use them on my 42lb 2yr and I'm so glad! I don't know what I would have done being that he would be out of diaper sizes to wear soon and those pullups are annoying, at least to me. . .
Another great brand of cloth diaper for bigger toddlers is Happy Heinys. At this age you will only need about 6 and you can wash them every other day.
For an even cheaper option I also use the old fashioned prefolds with a cover. You can get a few covers and a dozen or more prefolds for $30 and not have to buy more disposable diapers, ever!
