Huggies makes a great night time diaper called Overnights. They work great. I don't think Walmart sells them though. I had the same problem with my son. These were a life saver.
Does anyone know of a really good absorbent diaper? My one year old has been waking up in the middle of the night soaked for the last week. She would not wake up if not for this and the poor thing gets so uncomfortable. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. :)

Cloth is the only thing that ever worked for us. If you'd like more info, feel free to email!

I totally recommend the Huggies overnight diapers. They are fantastic. From the minute I switched, I stopped having a wet baby in the morning. Hope they help!
Hi, Seventh Generation diapers and pull-ups. They are the best! They absorb and they are clorine free!!! They're hard to find, I had to go on line and found them at Whole Foods. :)
I had great luck with Pampers, my son soaked through everything else. I was also advised to use one size larger by the diaper company for nighttime, there is more room for absorbancy.
I use Huggies Overnites, but I also change my children's diaper before I go to bed. They just get so soaked at night that this is the only way to keep them semi dry through the night. I am lucky, they don't wake up from me changing them so this may not be a solution for you if your child is easily awakened.
I see a pattern here...I agree Huggies Overnites are by far the best nighttime diaper. I buy a size bigger for my 15 month old daughter.
I have tried everything and huggies overnights are the BEST!!!
i spent so much money on the name brands special overnight diapers and they never worked. i tried bj's wholesale brand diapers and they are great and half the price off all the others out there! my pediatrician also had told me to cut down how much fluids my son got before his bedtime. let your daughter have her last bottle/cup of milk or whatever she might have before bedtime at least 2 hours before bed and change her right before you put her down to sleep.this stopped all leaks for us!hope this helps
I went through it everynight... Babies r us brand, Esp. for babies the supreme. Save your money on the name brands. these are the best.
Huggies Overnights worked for us. They are a bit more expensive than regular diapers - but totally worth it!
huggies overnight-the best. hands down.
Hi D.,
We had the same problem a while ago. We switched from Luvs (the price was right, but my son would wake up with his pajamas soaked by the am) to Pampers Cruisers ultra absorbancy. If you can get them at BJ's with a coupon the price isn't too bad. We change him right before he goes to bed and nine times out of ten he wakes up in the am at least with his pajamas dry. We do have to change him soon after he gets up because if he sits too long in his crib they will leak. Also we have curtailed his liquid intake a bit before going to bed so I think that has helped too.
Huggies overnights in the next size up works for us. The diaper doublers worked pretty well for us, too, but I think the overnights are just easier to put on. Good luck!
We always used Pampers during the day but at night had to use Huggies overnights for enough absorbency.
I have two that pee through regularly. The only diaper that has contained them has been the Huggies night time diapers, and I always go a size larger than they are in their day time diapers...it seems to stop at least most leak throughs!! Good Luck!!
Pampers is the only diaper that I used that does not leak. Try the Pampers Cruisers at this age. The baby dry are good when they get a little older. GL!
Luvs are the only ones that work for us. They're made by Pampers - but it's their "inexpensive" line.
D., this happened to me. Someone suggested to me to use overnights at night. They are thicker and can absorb more. Also, my daughter slept on her stomache so she would get wet all in the front when she would pee. I also was told to get the boy overnights b/c they are made with a little more protection in the front. I dont know if that is true or would work, something to look into. I never had to go that route b/c the overnights took care of all on my problems. Good luck!
Huggies Overnight in a larger size and diaper doublers are what saved me. My son (now 3) started sleeping 12 hours at a clip at 6 months old and would be soaked from head to toe in the morning until I used this combination. I plan on doing it for my daughter (currently 17 weeks) once she gets into the crib full time (still sleeping in the swing). Good luck.
Huggies overnight are the best, there is also something called a diaper doubler, that you place inside a reg diaper.
huggies overnites, or double up on inserts with a cloth diaper
Huggies Overnights are great!
Hi D.,
Have you tried cloth? Sometimes they can absorb more. Also, have you checked your daughter's diaper before you go to bed? If she is peeing several times a night and if she's already wet by the time you go to bed, diapering her before you turn in might avoid that middle of the night waking.
Hi D. -- we had the same problem just a couple months back, too. (Arman's 18 months now.) Switch to Pampers Cruisers at bedtime. They're definitely more expensive, but well worth it. I use a cheaper brand during the day or when at home...but the Cruisers are great for going out and at night. Good luck!
hello. my daughter always peeed alot at night and i found that pampers cruisers worked really well and also huggies nautural fit that contours to ther body. hope this helps.
Use the next size diaper for nighttime. It's more absorbent due to the larger size.
Pampers makes a new one now, I can't remember what they call it, but it's good...I've gotten them in bulk at BJ's...also, you can buy "diaper doublers" it's like a maxi pad for a diaper...sounds weird, but they do work!
Best wishes...
J.
My son has the same problem. I use diaper doublers. They are liners that you put in the diaper (looks like a maxi pad). They really do help. My son can't make it thru the night w/out them. Sometimes I even put in 2 if he has had too much to drink before bed. You can get them at Toys R Us and at CVS. I also order them by the case online from http://www.diapersite.com
Good luck!
Huggies has an overnight diaper that is fantastic. It solved our leaking problem. I've only been able to find it online.
Lots of suggestions on diaper brands already, but have you tried just giving your daughter less to drink right before bedtime??! She shouldn't be peeing so much at night! Let her drink a 1/2 hour before bedtime, and she'll probably do most of her peeing before you do the last diaper change. This will make potty training much easier too when you get to that stage!
We use Luvs with Blue's Clues on the front. They work really well at night. Every once in a while she is a little wet in the morning but that would be due to me giving her too much liquids at night or not changing her again when I go to bed (Midnight).
Good luck,
Nanc
I have the same issue with my 18 month old. I highly recommend Huggies Overnight diapers. My daughter would wake up soaked and the sheets were saturated. She woke up in the middle of the night screaming though. I started using these diapers on her about 3 weeks ago and they keep her and her bed dry. I bought them in Stop N Shop and the price is reasonable. If you go to Huggies.com, you can see the various stores where you can purchase them.
Stop and shop carries "Diaper Doublers", saved us big headaches with leaks at night.
Pampers cruisers and diaper doublers. I used these with my son and they were wonderful. Doublers you get at Babies R Us. You also may want to try and go up a size in the diapers that always helped us too. Good luck.

I'm a Pampers gal for daytime, but I use the Huggies overnights for bedtime. They solved the problem!
Huggies over-nights work great!
use the next size up diaper for night time. if your baby is in size 4, use size 5 at night. it works!! any brand will work at night! i use pampers for overnight and havent had a single leak.
D.,
Ive used Luvs since my daughter was about 6 months old and never had a leak. I love them. Give them a try.
I always did the Huggies Overnites, but one size bigger than he normally wore.
My son wouldn't lay down for diaper changes as soon as he hit 1, so we started using pull ups. There are some pull ups that are designed for overnight use and they are more absorbent than the others. You can still undo the sides to put them on like a traditional diaper. The only downfall is that they are more expensive, but since she will only use them at night it might not be such an issue. Good luck!
Try Pampers Ulta Absorbant. They sell them at BJ's.
Huggies makes a night diaper that is very absorbant. They really work, but only if your daughter doesn't have sensitive skin.
Huggies overnights work well.
when that happened to me, I switched to Huggies and used their night time diapers at night. My kids are 2 and 3 now and I still put a Huggies night time diaper on both of them at bedtime
We had a similar situation with our 1 year old boy. I started using Huggies Nighttime diapers and that seemed to do the trick, hope it works for you!
Hi D.,
I used Huggies Overnight diapers for my daughter and currently use them for my son and found that they stay dry overnight for the most part. Good luck!
D.,
Several ideas:
Possibly a larger size diaper to sleep in.
Diapers for girls.
A cloth diaper inside the diaper (extra absorbency).
2 diapers (one over the other).
Slip her up to the changing table and have everything ready for a diaper change - the diaper all unfolded, and zip her in and out of the fresh one, just before you go to sleep.
One last one - slip a diaper, inside out and folded, into the front of the diaper. Fold all the extras in, or cut them off ahead of time.
I know there are supreme diapers out there - I just haven't needed them. My son is saturated by the time he's up for the AM, but not enough to wake him up - unless the thermostat forgets to work!
Good Luck!

Hi D.,
I would suggest 'Diaper Doublers'. They are in the diaper aisle at the grocery store (light blue and white soft package). When my daughter was an infant, she often awakened in the middle of the night with a very wet diaper, but once I started adding a diaper doubler pad to her bedtime diaper, she stayed much drier through the night. I hope this helps!

Diapers are all different what works with boys (huggies are the best for boys because they have more of the absorbancy up front. For girls Luvs seem to be better because they have more absorbancy in the middle. Pampers are a good unisex diaper though they have the extra absorbency through the whole thing. Didn't know if any other moms knew this or not.... I have actually done a lot of research and studying on this for an article for a consumer magazine. For anyone out there who thinks I'm nuts!!! LOL
Good Luck!!!!
Huggies Overnights....My son had the same problem for a while, and it was very helpful.
