I have Sirius and I TOTALLY love it. My car is a 2001 and my husband installed the radio himself-he is pretty handy though. I couldn't live without the radio. I got the Sportster with the indoor radio and car attachment so I can listen to it in my home and car. Hope you enjoy it!

I love my Sirius! The variety of stations available is amazing; they have something for everyone. My husband was (fortunately!) able to install mine with little difficulty. I would imagine that yours would be able to do the same for you. Good luck with the installation and enjoy.

We have had Sirius in our car for a year now and LOVE it. I will never go back to regular radio again. We also just purchased a new Trailblazer that came with XM for free for 3 months. Sirius is the way to go. XM has commercials!! And the music isn't as good. My husband was able to install in in our car, but then again he is an auto tech, so it was pretty easy for him.

Good luck!

I work for XM Radio and am very familiar with both XM and Sirius. You can add the radio to any make and model of car when you buy the kit from Car Toys, Circuit, Best Buy, etc..

Personally I have listened to XM for 4 years now and LOVE it!! We are the nations #1 satellite radio with the most subscribers, we have 170 channels (vs Sirius 120 channels), and you can go on a month to month program. (I am not 100% but I think you have to pay for Sirius by the year, so you pay way in advance.. Again I do not work for Sirius so I don't know, I just have people tell me that. You should look into it.)

I actually have a coupon for a free XM Radio with a car kit included, all you have to do is buy 6 months of service (3 up front and 3 later). The radio is a $80 value, but the coupon expires tomorrow. Please let me know and I will email you the coupon code if you want it.

Direct TV's XM is different than our actual programming, Direct TV has very limited channels there are many more channels available as a subscriber. You can also go to www.xmradio.com listen to the music online for free and see if you like it. You can also do the same for Sirius, I think!

Let me know if you have any question please let me know, I would be happy to help.

I have Sirius at home and in both mine & my husband's cars. We are actually about to buy a fourth unit for my kitchen. It is wonderful and I NEVER listen to regular radio or cd's in my car anymore. I bought my car with satellite already installed and my husband had his installed at Car Toys. Our home unit was installed by my husband.

They will let you pay month to month. We pay full price for our first subscription and then $6.99 for each additional subscription.

You will be very happy with it! You never lose programming if you take a road trip. You don't hear songs repeated every hour like regular radio. You don't hear endless dj chatter and annoying commercials. My only problem is deciding what I want to listen too as there is so much to choose from!

I have Sirius radio in my SUV, and LOVE IT...and I would recommend having it installed somewhere. I did the hard-wiring kit, so that way it comes on when I start the car, and shuts off when I turn the car off:) Better than dealing with a DC Adaptor. I had it installed at BestBuy..and they did a GREAT job. They charged I think $80 for installation, but after seeing how much work it was, I am glad I had them do it, besides, the labor is guaranteed for a year. Your truck is not too old to have it, anyone can have it in any vehicle!! I am soooo glad I chose Sirius...I like the programming better than XM:)
Have fun & Enjoy!!

I've had Sirius for almost 2 years now, and I hate listening to the regular radio. I also prefer Sirius over XM. I have XM thru Direct TV, and I listen to it sometimes. Sirius is the way to go.

I don't have mine professionally installed. I just have the car kit, and I attached it to the windshield. We were thinking about having it installed because we have to tie up the wires for the antennae. We just waited because we want to get a new car soon, and we also move it to my husband's car when we take trips.

I have sirius radio and love it! We have it in both cars and have a sportser portable-so that we can take it on our boat! It is so easy to do. If you or your husband are at all electronically savy you can install it yourselves and save the money-my husband did both of ours! Word of warning, if you are getting one that has a mail in refund be careful, we have been fighting with them for a year and still have yet to receive it.
