Single Mom/Morning Help with Toddler--1-hour

I am having a TERRIBLE time trying to get my "just turned 2-year-old" girl around and me ready for the day. (Witts end!) I must start sticking to a schedule to be more effective with my time given that I work from home. I'd like to find someone to drop by for 1 hour M-F to get her fed, dressed and ready for school by 8:00am. (7-8am) I would like to pay $5/hour. I'm feeling pretty desperate at this point! ;o)

What can I do next?

S., my suggestion would be to try to hire a neighbor needing a little extra cash - perhaps a high school or junior college student living in your area. For $5 per morning, your options will be limited. I would recommend asking neighbors if they know someone in the neighborhood that would be interested.

You may have already tried this, but when I was working outside the home and had to drop my daughter at preschool I always had to get up an hour or so before her. It was DARN early (5am) because she's an early riser, but that was the only way I could get the two of us ready for the day! My goal was to be completely ready bfore she woke up. If I still needed 30 min, I'd pop a DVD in for her while I finished up. Also, I made a habit of packing her bag the night before. I'd also pack the car with things I'd need the next day, if necessary. All this made mornings much smoother.

Hello S.,
I am the Mom who recommended The Merryhill School. I currently work at Adventure Kids Playcare in Parker Square part-time and I am an almost full time student at North Central Texas College. I may be able to care for your daughter Wednesday, Thursday and Friday if that would help. My son does not wake up til 9 am and my husband is home in the morinings Wednesday thru Friday. If he begins waking earlier I can do it the other days. What exactly do you need? I live off Kirkpatrick and College Pkwy.
You can call me if you would like ###-###-####

Hi
I suggest you contact the local high school (Marcus or Flower Mound HS) to see if they have a 'mother's helper" program. Good luck.

HTH and if it does be sure to let me know.
