I am a single mom with 1 little girl who is 9, living in Richardson, TX. I am wanting to find an apt/house to move into, but am interested in a roomate. I would love to stay in Richardson area, due to my entire support system is there. Please let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions! Thanks! I have furniture for a house, but could easily go for a duplex, townhome, condo....

What can I do next?

I have some friends who are empty-nesters in Plano. They are looking to rent out two bedrooms and a bathroom with unlimited access to the entire house---including their pool. They are both school teachers---she is a speech pathologist and he is a 3rd grade teacher---and would like to help a single mother and be a support.

If you are interested, email me privately at: ____@____.com

When we (myself, husband and 4 kids) moved out of my folks' house, we discovered that a trailer can be purchased for 9000 (more or less - and that's a 3/2) and the lot rent is not very high. An apartment would be way higher. We decided to go this route because it's big enough and the payments are low until we get to a place where we can afford a home.

When school starts, inquire with your child's teacher or principle. Never know... maybe there's a new teacher seeking a roommie. Good luck. And NO male roommates!
