Ever lost stomething in very strong straightline winds and found it again. We lost a toy umbrella off our kids sand table the other day in strong winds and it has not shown up! LOL the kids keep an eye out but I am losing hope! I know it is not a really big deal but just kinda wonder how far away it made it ;)

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

LOL we went on another hunt this morning and found it about two blocks away stuck in a fence. Felt a little silly going into their yard and yanking it out. Still in perfect condition. Only think was it had a caterpillar attached to it...so now we have a "pet" for a few days. Kids couldn't be more excited!

Not in winds no. But, once we went fishing and my dad had is best pole ripped from his hands by a really big fish. About two hours later we had moved locations on the lake, we cam across a group of trees growing the water, and lo and behold there was his pole! The fish had wrapped the line around the tree and finally broke free but somehow the pole stayed attached to the line and the line to the tree. I will never know how my dad spotted that since there was only about six inches of pole out of the water, but he did.

I also had a co-worker lose a dog. About a week later they had a pizza delivery guy notice that they had a missing dog flyer taped to the door. He told him he thought that he knew where the dog was. He had just made a delivery a few blocks away and made an off hand remark about the people's cute dog. They told him they found him just running around. So he took my friend back and sure enough it was their dog. Somethings do find their way home. :)

My dad sent me $100 bill for my birthday once in college. I opened the envelope outside and it blew away. As a poor college student, I spent two hours searching, maybe longer. Gave up after my hubby and a neighbor helped look for about 30 minutes. It was found four days later. It got stuck in between the door step and some bushes by our apartment door.

Every stinkin day for the last 3 months! Yesterday i litterally lost my lunch..i wasnt holding on tight enough and there it went... i was sad :( but lesson learned!
The winds here are insane. They havent stopped since late feb... they average 30-50mph sustained and have gusted in the 60mph range. Southren nm is far worse they have had gusts in the 80mph range.

Last summer I had clothes hanging on the line to dry. Since the winds were strong I put extra pins, but it wasn't enough. A strong gust of wind sent about half my laundry flying across our field. I found everything right away except for a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. The shirt was found a few months later when the tree lost its leaves (shirt was stuck high up in the branches). I never did find the shorts though.
