So I feel that I have been either fighting sinus, back pain or as of today sore throat and feeling feverish ( no fever). i am 6 weeks preggo and wonder will this stop or is it part of the deal? I feel bad for having to tell my husband I feel bad every day or that it's always something else wrong... Oh an i really don't feel like eating and when I think about what I have eaten it makes me feel gross. Not having any "morning" sickness at all. And I know that I am supposed to be tired, but i really don't feel like doing anything.... I know, I am just venting to all of you out there, and maybe that is really all I needed.

Thanks for listening

So What Happened?

Thanks folks! i am going to the ob tomorrow for the first sono and I will tell him how I have been feeling. I am taking my prenatels and taking mucinex D as they told me a few weeks ago. I guess I feel bad about telling him cause I don't want to seem like I am complaining everyday, but I know you are all right, I need to stay healthy and relaxed.

Thanks again

for one thing, you probably are having a form of "morning" sickness. there is no such thing (okay, maybe for some people) as just being sick in the morning. it is ALL day! i was sick pretty much all day, every day for my first trimester. 3 months of that! ugh. i could hardly eat anything without getting nauseous/throwing it up later.

you may have a bug as well, but yeah at 6 weeks i ended up having to go to the hospital to get an IV because I couldn't keep anything down, including water.

but it will get better. get this book too: "Pregnancy Sucks" by Joanne Kimes. A great humor book when you are feeling horrible. :)

my first trimester i felt like an eating machine half the time, and a slug the other half the time. you may also have some minor bug - the last few weeks i have had the slowest mildest cold ever, and it's more just a nuisance than anything. for several days i had headaches, then for a few days my throat was scratchy, then for the last week or so i've had a cough. minor muscle aches and pains sprinkled throughout. you are definitely going to feel it more being pregnant. sorry girl. hang in there!

Make sure your prenatal is one that absorbs. Most don't. the doctor should give you literature on what the absorption rate is. If he doesn't have one or they don't publish one then your prenatal is probably not doing you any good. I can recommend one if you don't have a good one.

Also, get to the chiropractor immediately. Your immune system needs all the help it can get. The nutrition you ARE getting is going straight to the baby and your body is suffering. You HAVE to stay healthy in order to keep the baby developing properly. Go to www.upcspine.com and find one in your area if you don't know a good one. This website is specifically for upper cervical specialists which is what works best with the immune system and complete health.

Hope this helps!

Why do you feel 'bad' telling your Husband this?
He should be concerned... about you and your health and especially if you are pregnant.

You should ALSO be telling your OB/GYN... about this.

all the best,

That was one of the things I hated about being pregnant. I was sick at LEAST 1 week every month until kiddo was born. On the one hand, I know that the immune system gets cranked way down when preggers (either to support having dna that's not yours, or to increase you catalogue of antibodies, or both I have no idea)... but on the other hand... UGH. Hated being sick all the time.

well, all 3 times i felt like i could barely hold my head up the first trimester, then i felt awesome my 2nd. soooooo painfully exhausted. i do think you might have a bug too though. there is so much going around, i swear we have been sick since thanksgiving. you should see at least your gyno and your reg doc. feel good :)

Don't feel bad or hesitate to tell your husband anything that you feel isn't so great... you feeling good and relaxed, that your needs are taken care of, will help you have a healthy and happy baby! You and your husband have to put YOU first for the next 8 months. Tell your doctor's office anytime you are ill or if you don't feel like eating, etc. They get a lot of calls from their pregnant patients, they're used to it so don't worry. Did they give you any booklets? Or you can go to the library and look for the book "What to Expect When You Are Expecting". It's loaded with info about all the things you're feeling and many of your questions. Best wishes!

You may have low iron. so i would get that checked. if you feel up to it get out and take short walk or even sit of your porch....with umbrella and millions of blankets to stay warm. This way you get outta the house...but youre not too far away and you also can have a better out loook on things with a bit if walking.

as far as the cold and illness stuff is concerned i would take it up both with your ob and doc if they are different. it very well could be your body changing with hormones and its on over load. with my third i was ill alot...mostly sinus stuff your horomnes are absolutely cruel sometimes.

Keep us post...best of luck with this new adventure in youre life:) its amazing

Perhaps a trip to the doctor will quell your fears. Have them do a pregnancy test to check your HCG levels to make sure everything lines up. Good luck and congratulations.
